Hi PdxMan, Dr.Umbach fixed a hiatal hernia for me as well & I haven't had any heartburn issue! You were so right about Dr.Umbach.....He's amazing!

Hi guys, The surgery went better than expected. However, today is another story....I'm really weak & have had a low grade fever for the last 2 days. Dr. said it was normal.

Hi ALL, My surgery went better than expected! Glad I had this forum & ALL the support! How's everyone doing?

Hi everyone, I finally had my surgery on friday 6-7! It has been better than expected! I'm moving around, trying to get my Water & Protein in & I never thought that burping, coughing, dry heaving & farting would be so AWESOME! I knew what to expect so nothing really was shocking! For ALL the pre-op people.....Please don't hesitate or be afraid, just keep reading this forum, it really was so helpful! Thank you to everyone for the great advice & support! Now I must go choke down some low sodium chicken broth... -Molly

Congrats & Good Luck to everyone....wishing all of you a speedy recovery! In a few hours I will be joining the sleeve side! Surprisingly I'm pretty calm but, I'm sure that will change when they put the IV in....

He said the same to me..that if I have a hernia, he will fix it & may possibly help with the reflux. He said that he has to tell me that the sleeve itself will not help with the reflux. I totally agree...no re-routing for me! Thanks, PdxMan!
