I'm so happy!! I just called Aetna to check on my case that was sent in on the 15th and they said I'm approved!!! I've been so nervous I would be denied for some stupid reason. So excited!!! Should have an August surgery date!!!

I finally made it through the 6 months supervised diet and the surgeon's office submitted to insurance yesterday!!! I feel nauseated with worry. Hopefully I get a quick approval!!! We'll see! Wish me luck!!!

Hey all. I have a question. How many of you saw or are seeing a psychologist before the sleeve or after the sleeve for eating issues? I am definitely a stress eater and I've got it under control mostly while I'm still in the 6 month supervised diet but I'm worried about it still. I've already decided I'll see the psychologist after the sleeve just to deal with the head issues but just wanted to see what everyone else is doing.

I talked with the psychologist for about 30 minutes. He was just making sure I knew about the surgery and was prepared for everything. Also went over past weight loss attempts and failure. Then, I had to take a true/false questionnaire...was like 400 questions. It wasn't bad at all. I stressed about it for nothing. You'll do fine....just be honest with them. Good luck!

I was just reading through several of these posts and a much as I hate that we all feel this way, it sure is nice knowing there are others who worry about the same things that I do. Just when you think you are the only person who feels a certain way, this place reminds me that so many of us are alike. It's nice fitting in!

Just saw this post. I'm so happy for you!!! I'm still on the 6 month supervised diet but my last weigh in was 404. I'm getting close to the 300's and I can't wait! I totally know how you feel! It really does! I was so bummed when I found out I had to do the 6 months but its really going fast!
