Restaurants
I eat out often with family and friends. I often order an appetizer and that is plenty. Lots of people do that are not sleeved. I often will look at the menu before I go so I can see everything available to me there, I will often see things I may have missed. Often, they will have the nutritional information online as well. I have always been able to find something I can eat that is yummy too! Once I really had a hard time finding something so I asked for a grilled chicken breast and steamed or grilled veggies. It was no problem. You will do great! It's kind of overwhelming the first time or two but it gets easier as you go. Good luck!

Dizziness
I have heard that when people need to come off or down on some of their meds (especially BP) they are dizzy. Could that be it? or possibly a Vitamin drop, maybe Iron or B12? Just a thought....hope you feel better.

Affordable Health Care Act…anyone?
The "idea" behind it is to be able for people to be able to buy an individual policy at group rates. Yes, some if not all for certain people, (not sure the requirements, income, family size? ) to get a subsidy to reduce the costs. States that participate in the exchange will be able to add administrative costs and re coup some of the subsidy they have to shell out. States that refused (such as good ole Rick Perry here in Texas actually screw the people of the state because now its just a cost that there is no way to re coup even part of it. The NHCE will be able to re coup but the states will still have to pay costs to participate. It's not optional, no matter what the state politicians want to tell the people. Calling it a trainwreck may be an understatement!

Affordable Health Care Act…anyone?
Sure, you can. Or If you have employer healthcare through your or hubby's employer for you and the ingrates, (yep, it's what I call my kids too) it won't affect you at all.

Affordable Health Care Act…anyone?
Yes, Bluto, you are right, it is somewhat misleading. The President of course is not going to choose a provider, I did say he will choose for his family, not himself. They will register with the exchange but of course they won't use it because they have access to the White House physicians. It is a political gesture. Pure and simple. Congress did throw all their aids under the bus though, forcing them into it, but of course not themselves as I stated. Most things enacted by congress make sure they are exempt from. Imagine, Dem or Rep living by the same rules and law as us little people! Sheesh!

Affordable Health Care Act…anyone?
You can't yet. The states that are going to run their own exchange are building them now. They have to up live by Oct. 1

What were you eating 2 weeks after surgery?
I was on Clear Liquids for one week, full liquids for weeks two and three. It had to flow easily through a strainer. Not even Jello or yogurt. It was worth it.

adult beverage
I had a glass of wine at 6 weeks (only after I was cleared by surgeon and NUT) I was just fine. Would highly recommend you try it at home first, as you could react differently.

AVOCADO?
I ate them just sliced. Great food. Gives you the right fats and in the soft food stage some much needed calories.

Endometrial Ablation?
I had endometrial ablation done almost 4 years ago and I consider it the second best thing I did for my health. My sleeve recently passed it as the number one! I bled most days of the month. Bad cramps was also an issue. The procedure in its self was easy. About 10 minutes. Twilight sleep, like when you have a colonoscopy. Had cramping for about 12 hours, pain med was all that was necessary and next morning felt fine. I had bleeding/discharge for a few weeks and have not had a period since. When I had mine done, my GYN said after about 7 years or so, it may need to be repeated. I should be well into menopause by then. I am so glad I did it. I consider it to be the best thing I did for myself in my 40's and my sleeve the best thing in my 50's so far! You are welcome to PM me if you have questions you don't want to pose in the thread. Good luck!
