March Sleevers Where are You
So my surgery is Monday and suddenly I am a bit hysterical. I am pretty sure they told me to not eat after midnight Sunday but in my head I am wondering if they really said noon Sunday? I asked my friend and she said Midnight. I am going with this because I am sure I am just a bit crazy. Can't imagine not drinking anything after Noon on Sunday until my surgery lol!! what a wierdo I am...

March sleevers anyone?
I would go to your PCP. I am sure he could give you something to help. Don't take things on your own pre surgery.

why can't protein shakes taste good?
Unjury is good but I also like Premier Protien. Pretty yummy and it has 30 grams of protien as well as other stuff Not gritty at all!

Scared of the flab
I am due to have my surgery March 18th and I will tell you what I have found out.... The weightloss is more important than the loose skin. I would imagine if you have been overweight most of your life your skin will not bounce back unless you are younger than maybe that is not the case so much. I assume it also depends on how much you have to lose. I know I will probably not be in a bikini Ever.... and my flappy skin will be flapping all over the place. I heard my insurance will cover the skin surgery. We will see... however but my back will be soo much better. Excercizing is important and it will help as will getting in your protien to try to hold onto some of your muscle mass.

March sleevers anyone?
Hello! I am Michele from Bergen County, NJ and my surgery is set for March 18th! I am very excited. I did a sort of last meal today instead of doing it right before. I didn't go nuts but it was my last buffet. That's about it for my splurge before and now I'm ready for the count down to take this dive into a wonderful journey.

Post Op 6 Days and Feeling Vulnerable
You can't put off your life because your are fluffy. Sure you are changing and you will... unfluff (Me too Me too!!! :-) ) You can't keep telling yourself that after I lose weight I will date.... sure we can't do a heck of a lot of things like go on a roller coaster or fit in a stupid booth (myself of course on both of these counts and maybe not you ) but it only leads to putting yourself down more and more. I didn't get the surgery yet. I know I will feel similar about most things you have listed... I already told my boyfriend I will probably cry my eyes out infrustration of not being able to eat what I want. My comfy blanket ripped off of me! I may be a basket case... but please do not put off your life because of your fluff. If you meet the right guy you will find him fluff or no fluff and he will love you either way as he should! You are only beating yourself up and you are your own worst critic. Don't put off your life for shame... odds are you will always find something get annoyed at yourself (as we all do) for so instead lift yourself up and don't wait to live your life until this is perfect.. or that is perfect. We were born unperfect. Perfection will never happen. Find reasons every day to love yourself. HUGS!

Frequently Asked Questions
I have a quick question. What is the average hospital stay? 2 days? 1 day? Just curious. I know every case is different. Thanks Michele

so I'm just wondering ...i am only 1 week out and a very upset tummy to anything so far. will we sleever eat any fat food without getting sick?
I haven't had mine yet but I heard it is 2 weeks of clear liquids.. jello included. Grits/oatmeal are at phase 2 I think. You may be taking on phase 2 too soon. Good luck to you. My surgery is in March.
