  1. Hi I hope everyone is doing great! I am very happy with my success and wanted to share some stats with all of you. DOS - 1/23/13 SW - 270 Total lost 70 lbs My cholesterol is down from 235 to 194. At my 6 month check up all of my blood work came back great! I am over 60 and feel like I have been given a new lease on life. I still have 50 more lbs to go - but over halfway to my goal . Some of the things I am loving is - 1. Shopping for size 14 clothes 2. Being able to walk without huffing and puffing 3, Having enough energy to play with my 3 grandsons (5,3,1) 4. Riding a bike 5. Getting on the scale and seeing onederland I love my sleeve!
  2. 300 lbs down is my very favorite too!
  3. 1 banana 2 egg (makes 2 large pancakes) Blend really good ( I used the magic bullet) Spray pan with EVO - pour batter into fairly hot pan. Serve with sugar free jam or fruit I made this morning and I thought they were awesome. Very easy to eat Enjoy
  4. Good luck - I know u will do great. Keep in touch. Blessings- Linda
  5. Day 3 was yesterday - I was dismissed from hospital. I actually did not feel the greatest but I think I was fighting something. I had the chills and was really scared I was going to start running a fever. I slept pretty good and woke up feeling much better. Day 4 - I'm dong great - so far I haven't had to take any nausea medicine. The only pain medication I'm taking is 1 extra strength Tylenol. My weight is same as when I went I'm for surgery. I'm eating jello, pudding and trying to drink my crystal light. I get a very full feeling very fast. Today I will be taking it easy - not planning on going anywhere. I hope everyone is dong good too. Would love to hear from all of you. Blessings - Linda
  6. Day 2 post op - so far so good. Very little pain - just a small headache probably caffeine withdrawal. I ate a Popsicle and some jello - I eat very slowly. I have to say that the food on the TV commercials look very good and make me feel hungry - is this normal? I guess I thought I wouldn't feel hungry. It's not that I am starving it just looks good. I will get discharged from the hospital tomorrow. I was not on a special pre op diet and do not have a drain. How is everyone else doing? Blessings to all:)
  7. Surgery this morning and all is good. I'm sore and when I was in post op and woke up I had headache. I only used my pain drip a few times and then headache got much better. Mouth is really dry - ice chips taste really good. Attached is a really cute picture of my tummy. Hope everyone is doing good Blessings -Linda
  8. I'm in pre-op now - excited to get this done. Blessings to all of the 1/23 sleevers
  9. I'm being sleeved tomorrow at 8am MST. I saw my doctor today and I asked him if I should be just drinking liquids - he said he doesn't restrict diets before surgery but nothing after 11pm. I had Cheerios for dinner - go figure. Anyway blessings to all of us. Be sure and post tomorrow when u can:)
  10. I'm so excited for u - keep us posted. Blessings & prayers. Mine is scheduled for next Wed - I am so ready.
  11. Hi Nancy - I am from Ft Collins Co and I too am being sleeved on 1/23. My doctor doesn't require liquid diets prior to surgery - after reading this forum I can see that all doctors have different views. Any way blessings and prayers for your surgery and new life. How much weight do you want to lose? I am so excited and so ready to be able to keep up with my grandsons
  12. I'm also being sleeved on January 23. I'm very excited and ready to have a life. Where r u from and how long do u think u will be off of work? Hope all goes well!
