  7. I did...I've met with the nutritionist, the psychologist, attended the 5 behavior classes, the nurse 3 times and all I need to do is lose the remaining weight and then I can meet the surgeons and have the blood work and the swallow study done, oh, and the physical by my primary. I've already met my insurance requirement...no pre-op liquid diet required so I can't count on that for a loss.
  8. I am having a big issue with this...I need to lose 15 pounds before I can see the surgeons...I have struggled to lose 8 and I've been trying since November....UGH! As soon as the 15 is gone, my surgery can be scheduled. Good luck!!! Kate
  9. I have to lose 7 of the 15 before I can meet with the surgeon. But I've seen the nutritionist, psychologist, attended 5 behavior mod. classes, etc. I'm hoping to have the surgery in April:) Where did you have your surgery?
  10. Hello~ I'm just wanted to chime in because I did infertility treatments. I did 6 rounds of Clomid with no luck, but then I did 1 round of Gonal-F and was pregnant with twins! I was 260 when I got pregnant and had a very healthy pregnancy. Good luck with whichever path you choose! Kate

  25. Hello- I'm a high school special education teacher, but I work in a private school for students with significant disabilities. My goal is to have surgery in March and I'm planning on taking 3 weeks off, but will have to be on light duty after that with not lifting or restraining students (we have students with major behaviors as well). My school is planning on getting a sub so there will not be any pressure to return if I am not ready! Kate
  26. I have diabetes and I have a specific amount of carbs I can eat per meal/snack! I didn not feel at all that I had a "cookie cutter" diet. Now all I have to do is exercise....ugh!!
