  1. I don't think I'm as nervous about the transition as I am the actual surgery itself. I'm ready to be a skinny chic, but afraid of going under the knife. Scsleever will be there a day ahead of us. Very nice lady. I've agreed to meet up with her as well. I'm coming alone. I can't possibly trust my 4 kids (even though one is technically an adult) to be home alone, so my husband is staying with them. I'll be glad when the whole process is over, but I'm glad that I've finally found someone to go thru this with.
  2. I will be at the Plaza Pueblo Amigo. Originally, I was told the Marriot, but for some reason it has been changed. But we can still be walking buddies at the hospital!
  3. I am scheduled for surgery at Mi Doctor on the 22nd. My surgeons will be Dr. Cabrera and Dr. Valenzuela.
  4. Salsha Will you be going to Mi Doctor on the 22nd?
  5. Totally understand. I'm generally a chocoholic but lately I just want a big plate of enchiladas with red sauce and sour cream. I about ripped my poor husbands head off for setting his bag of chips next to me during the game so that he could go get more queso. I bet he doesn't do that again! And I've got 17 more days of this. Seriously, how many more shakes can I put down before I find myself plowing my car thru the plate glass window of the closest all you can eat buffet down the street!
  6. JeniM73 (Jeni) Arrive in San Diego on 21st at 2:55 Not sure if I will be going to the hospital or the hotel upon arrival Surgery on 22nd by Cabrera/Valenzuela at Mi Doctor I've been told my hotel has been changed from the Marriot to Plaza Pueblo Amigo (not sure why this change) Return home on 25th
  7. February 22nd with Dr's. Cabrera and Venezuela. Because of my high BMI I have to do the liquid for three weeks.
  8. I just had the chocolate splendor. Not bad really. I had ordered the sample pack and wasn't a big fan of the chicken flavor so I was a little worried about trying it. I may just have to order more of the chocolate!
  9. I've been adding powdered peanut butter and a banana in my shakes. Sometimes I add fresh baby spinach as well. Do you think this is ok for the pre-op diet?
  10. Good information Mike. Thanx for sharing.

  12. Blaaah! Three weeks! Its sooo exciting!!!!! Sorry for all the exclamations I'M JUST SO EXCITED!!!!
  13. I will be there from Feb. 21st until the 25th. 22 days now.
  14. Good idea. I just emailed again and found out my coordinator has been changed (for whatever reason) so there was just some delay in getting back to me. Crisis averted!
  15. I'm 24 days away from my surgery date and emailed a question to my MTC coordinator last week. Generally, she's been very good about getting back to me quickly, but I still haven't heard from her. I'm getting worried. I tried her phone, but there was no answer, so I left a voicemail. Should I be concerned??? I haven't seen her name on the forum as being coordinator to any other MTC patients.
  16. Sounds like a crazy kinda normal, huh? I would love to hibernate and wake up the day before my surgery...ready to go!
  17. How intense was the pain after the sleeve? I saw a youtube video of someone that compared it to a c-section. I've had two c-sections and hope its nothing like that. Of course, I won't be all hormonal and have to take care of a newborn. But still, I'm traveling alone and worried about how I'm going to be able to manage without my husband.
  18. Is a glow peel painful? I was considering this while in Mexico for my sleeve, but I don't want to feel overwhelmed with pain from the surgery as well as a peel.
  19. Cute clothes. Going sleeveless and not feeling over dressed during the hot Kansas summers. Time away from work and kids in Tijuana. Flying for the first time in my life. Feeling sexy around my husband. Looking as young as my husband. Walking my dogs without feeling like I need to call my son for a ride back home. Hopefully inspiring my oldest son to take better care of himself. Wearing a swimsuit and going to the pool with my little kids. Not feeling like the "fat mom" in a group.
