  1. There are risks associated with surgery and anesthesia. Surgeons have to weigh these risks, prior to operation and anesthesia. You could possibly have an underlying disease that could present a poor outcome. It's in everyone's best interest that this is done prior to scheduling surgery.
  2. I haven't spoken to them, just the general number, the other day they gave me a number to pre-cert but it was BCBS of Georgia so I wasn't sure if this was correct. So I have continued to call the general number.
  3. Called again today, got the same old story Nothing!! What the heck is going on. Why do they say they have not received Any Paper Work? I know I am anxious but I feel like the office is SLOW!!
  4. You and me both, when I went to the surgeons office for my fist visit I almost left. I was waiting for an hour and a half and no one said a word. In the office I made a call to see another surgeon the next week, as I was about to leave they called me in. I was so impatient I can't believe I was going to leave. My husband was like "What is wrong with you calm down". It took me a while to finally make this decision so I was on the edge of a nervous breakdown. . So I am glad I simmered down, but this waiting it upping my boiling point. What insurance do you have?
  5. Have you made an appointment to see a surgeon yet? I felt kinda of lost until I did. I was listening to sooooo many different stories and I felt lost and confused. First I checked with my insurance provider to make sure this was a covered benefit. Then I tuned OUT the noise, (everyone has different benefits under their employer) some put restrictions or diet provisions, BMI limits etc. others don't. Some people think because you have the same insurance you have the same benefits, this is NOT the case. Go to the source about your benefits, it will make this ride easier if you do. Then let others fill you in on the nuances. I am realistic about weight loss, first and foremost my desire is to be healthy being a toothpick for me is not healthy. I hope you things work out well for you regardless of the option you choose. Good Luck
  6. Don't do it yet, give it a little time. You don't want to start all over. I know how you feel . It's just sooooo heartbreaking when you have people say "I was told in 1 dat or 2 days even 3 days. I am screaming on the inside right now!!
  7. Same here nothing, feel like going ape sh**.
  8. I am totally with you on this, something just ISN"T right with this. I have to say there is her side the MD's side and someone is not telling the truth. we have heard her side, we won't hear the MD's side. People telling her to sue and how this is malpractice are not objective, and believing her based on a lack of any real evidence. Something about this is SOOOOO OFF.
  9. Congratulations!! Just waiting for my approval getting anxious as ever, even though I started the process on the 7th of this month it feels like a year. Again Congrats!! Sending you well wishes for tomorrow.
  10. Without knowing the person on the other end of this conversation or examining her, how are you so sure this is malpractice? Why is the doctor wrong, you're hearing one side of the conversation.
  11. I am feeling CRAZY, especially when I hear people say it only took 1 or 2 days. I guess the norm isn't such a short time. It's hard to be patient when you are ready to get started on a new life. Well at least we are further than we were a month ago I can't believe how both of us are having the same exact issues, too funny. I will friend you. We need to stay in touch throughout this process, hopefully tomorrow will bring us better news!!
  12. No I called this morning and was told nothing was received yet. I then called the office and asked did they send it in, told her I called. The office coordinator got mad when I told her I called, she said angrily "Why did you call"? I said because I am the one who's having surgery and it's My Insurance company! She checked her attitude and said she also called and they gave her a verification of receipt, but there is still no authorization yet
  13. No you sound like Nurse to me. If my manager wasn't such a Witch I would most certainly do it.
  14. I was not talking about you being covered, I was talking about your specific plan requirements in regards to BMI co morbidities and if you needed a supervised diet. These are things that differ from plan to plan, It wont hurt you to call.
  15. They gave me the number to the prior-auth department. So I will call in the am they were already closed,
  16. I got somewhat the same answer, they probably have the paperwork, but the Nurse has to review it and it's not in the system. My heart sank to my feet. At least I know that it won't be long, everybody seems to get a response pretty quickly with Anthem. I keep my fingers crossed for you also, it would be funny if we get approved on the same day!
  17. Although there are plenty of people with BCBS the plans differ according to your employer. You can call your benefit administrator at your HR, or go to the website or look at your benefits manual. I can't stress enough each Employer is different and requirements vary. When I first started looking into it, I was confused, so I find sometimes it's best to go strait to the source. It will save you from a Huge Headache.
  18. Congrats on your Loss must feel good to be a Big Loser. Can't wait to be a Loser myself. I bet this is one of the only times where being a Loser actually feels Great! Hope all continues to go well with your recovery.
  19. Wow that's a lot of weight you've lost, looks like your hard work and dedication has paid off.
  20. Happy thoughts go out to you!! I am sure all will go well. Waiting for my approval, hope to be on the table soon myself. Good Luck 2dreamkrazii.
  21. I must say I am in the same boat as you, oh the things I did when I was Young and Hot. Unfortunately I am a recovery room Nurse and I have recovered a lot of plastic cases involving weight loss and post baby body makeovers. It is Very Very Very common that the breast will continue south with the weight loss. I plan on having a breast lift (mastopexy) with implant exchange once my weight has stabilized. You never know you could be one of the lucky ones that it's not too bad. All the best to you.
  22. Oh Wow!!I am sooooo excited for you right now!! Looking good girl, looking good.
  23. I hope things work out, I know how rough it is. Cheer up we have all felt this way at one time or another. Stay positive and goal oriented, and try not to beat yourself up!
