  4. Actually i was instructed that its standard for my surgeon. I was told of the prop diet before I even started the whole process of trying to get approved. My liver values were not even taken into consideration.
  5. 30 cc (1 ounce) every 20 mins is perfect. That's what my surgeon told me to shoot for.
  6. Hi gang. Im on the 27th. Day 10 of pre-op and its fine. Im just happy on the knowledge Im doing exactly what Im supposed to do: 70g protein, 900 calories, no caffeine, no ibuprofen, tylenol, aspirin, etc.
  7. 3 Days!!! That is awesome!! Im finishing day 8 and I still have 6 days to surgery. You'll do great!
  8. LOL! Well ot doesn't help that my 16 year old was cooking potstickers all afternoon then leaving them out cuz she was full! Also looks like a weather system moved in which may be responsible for my headache. I woke up with it. So there are other things going on. :-) My mom was 300lbs and 5 feet tall when she had her surgery. A vertical banded gastroplast1y in 1986. It was super risky. She got down to 130 or so, and over time her weight crept back to 190, but that's where she's stayed for years she's done great. Good motivation.
  9. Well I think what we have to keep in mind is that people who have more weight to lose will lose weight faster. The closer they get to goal the slower it will come off. So unless you are the same weight, age, and gender you should expect things to be different. And even if you are, things will still be different. We are individuals and that's what makes us beautiful and unique. Embrace YOU. This is YOUR journey to a healthier you and you are doing GREAT!!
  10. Wow! Day 7 and it suddenly got hard again! Headache and all! Thought I was past this. Has anyone else experienced this??
  11. Thoughts and prayers with you! This may be the beginning of a brand new and fabulous life for you and your family.
  12. Will do. Im very nervous. My mom had wls in the 80s and has kept off over 100 lbs. Her success is reassuring.
  13. Omg! I almost posted the EXACT same thing!! Lol. Honestly every word even down to the surgery date!! Kindred spirits here!
  14. Tonight is end of day 5. I was finally able to go grocery shopping and plan meals for the next few days for my family. They've been eating out recently. Lol. Small victory, but I did ot and stuck to my diet. No cheats!
  15. I know it feels terrible, but it does get soooo much better. I've finished day 4 and it is only mildly difficult now compared to the first 2. The first 2 I had splitting headaches, i was tired and STARVING and MISERABLE! Hang in there. It gets better.
