  1. Thank you for all your posts everyone--- your helping my anxiety level as I do my count down to 2/27
  2. Today is day 13 of my pre-op I haven't cheated but sure enough today I ate chocolate!!!! Not much, but enough to make me irritated with myself for even giving in to temptation!!! I've got 14 more days to go--- Blehhh ;-/
  3. Btw, surgeon's office not pushing it at all. I found the info in my "pre-op binder" and started asking questions and just trying to set myself up for success. However, I'm thinking I might pass;)--needles=yuck!
  4. Thank you all! I appreciate you taking time to reply;)
  5. Hi Post-Opers, I was wondering if you could give me any info on who has had to have a blood transfusion during surgery, and how much blood( pints did you get. I'm debating if I should make the 1.5 he drive to donate my own blood - just in case. I just wasn't sure how often blood transfusions occur with this surgery. I'm only going to be able to do 1 pint, so I'm also not sure it's even worth it. Thanks for any info you have on this. Sara
  6. Thanks for starting this DivaNurse;) So happy to hear you all are doing well, helps keep me motivated because as my date gets closer I find my anxiety has increased.
  7. I'm on the 27th ... Yay for us!!
  8. staceyxicarter and juny----- praying that you are able to overcome these issues quickly, so that you too can be dancing down the halls. Sending love out to all Feb 7th sleevers--- keep us posted!!
  9. Forgot-- I've been doing a cup of broth here and there (about 30 calories)
  10. I'm curious what everyone else is doing calorie wise as well. I've been staying at about 800 calories during the last week. I have 3 more weeks of pre- op diet so I've been adding low carb snacks to increase calories since I too was worried about starvation mode. I lost 9.5 lbs in one week so I figure I must be doing something right. I think during my last week or two before surgery I will only do shakes and liquids/jello. Btw- my low carb snacks have included- hard boiled egg, sugar free jello, cheese stick or baby bel cheese.
  11. Sending love and prayers to our Feb 7th sleevers and those still recovering!!! 20 more days until I'm in your shoes
  12. Sending good vibes and prayers to all our Feb. 6th sleevers and those recovering!
