  1. March 1st and 2nd sleevers check in! How are you doing??
  2. Ok I have been wanting to ask this for a while and with everyone talking about it I have just got to ask now... My doctor, surgeon or nutritionist did not mention any type of pre-op diet to me... All they said is I can't eat/ drink hours before surgery... Anyone else not have a pre-op diet... They also said people have had surgeries canceled for gaining weight before surgery and I should plan to lose 10lbs before surgery but nothing else.??
  3. Hi everyone I am 5'0 and weigh around 200lbs it varies between 198-205. I am being sleeved March 28th in Colorado. I am 26 and a mother of 3. Size 18 pants and xl shirt. I carry weight pretty evenly... But also pear shape... . Big arms... Big belly... but huge hips and thighs. Well my goal weight from my Dr is 150...but I hope to get to about 130... Plus I keep hearing your ultimate goal should be about 10lbs less than you truly want to be because the average person gains about 10lbs back after they get down to their lowest weight... I would be happy at 140lbs!
  4. Thought of a way to reward myself... Besides new clothes all the time... I really Have been wanting a broncos tattoo and havnt gotten a tattoo in over 2 years... So when I lose 50lbs I'm getting it! This will keep me motivated and losing weight as fast as possible!
  5. You look awesome! Congrats! What were you pre-surgery stats?
  6. Stats: 26 years old...5'0.. 200lbs.. bmi-40
  7. How long is everyone taking off of work? How painful is recovery? I can be kind of a baby but I have had a c-section and 2 other births.. I also have 7 tattoos... And tmi but have had hemmriods cut off after having one of my babies... Just trying to think of painful things I have gone through... Oh I have also had a breast augmentation... Sooo wonder what the pain of this recover will compare to... Do you think it is realistic to go back to work 10days after surgery? I am a teacher... Which doesn't require a lot of activity just standing/walking a lot.
  8. Hi everyone! I I have a surgery date of March 28... I am a teacher and will be doing it the day before my spring break so I have 12 days before I return to work. My ultimate goal weight is 130. I am 5'0 and 200lbs right now...my bmi is about 40. Everyone keeps acting like I am not overweight enough to have surgery but I have seen so many people with lower bmi's than mine that have had the surgery done. I am just ready to be at a healthy weight and live a healthy long life with my three kiddos.. Without always battling my weight. I have told my husband obviously. Also my parents my best couple of friends and my 1st grade team at school. I don't think I plan on telling much more people but if questioned it isn't something I would deny. Well we should all keep in touch since we will all be sleeved around the same time!
  9. I was highly disappointed when I met with the nutritionist and she told me I couldn't take iron and calcium together. I thought I would just wake up and take a bunch of vitamins everyday nit that I would have to take them 3-4 times a day to get enough calcium and iron and for them not to be taken together plus a multivitamin plus biotin plus something else. Could people please reply with exactly what you take and when in the day.
  10. Can I ask how tall you are... We have very similar goal weights... What did you start at and how long ago did you have surgery?
