  1. So I just called my doctor's nurse and the nurse told me to just drink more fluids. No way! lol So I'm gonna try my darned-est!
  2. I think I'm just gonna call the doctor's office and talk to the nurse.
  3. Maybe I'll have the hubby stop by the grocery on the way home from work!
  4. It is hard getting in this protein! I didn't think it would be that hard! I tried some of the Isopure drinks and I did not like them. Are you watering them down?? BLEH!
  5. I'll try that! That sounds yummy!
  6. I think it is okay to drink because you have Protein too.
  7. I'm soooo trying this once I get off my full liquid diet! Sounds soooo good!
  8. I've been using Unjury for my protein. At first I was using Premier Protein but it made me a little nauseated.
  9. Hey everyone! I had surgery on Tuesday. Today is Sunday and I'm 14 pounds down! I can't believe I'm 14 pounds down... this is crazy!!! I'm still having a hard time getting my fluids and Proteins in though... I think the most Protein I've gotten in was 20 grams and fluids is 30 oz. I'm just gonna keep on trying to get the protein and fluids in. I know this might be too much info but... my pee stinks! It is really dark and stinky. I don't feel like I have a UTI but I might or it might just be slight dehydration... what do you think? The only thing I can do is keep sipping! I'm having my JP drain taken out on Wednesday. If it is still like this, should I mention it to my surgeon?
  10. Surgery was done yesterday at 10:30. I'm glad it's over with my I'm still in quite a bit of pain. I feel very weak and shaky. I have a morphine PCA pump but when I start moving, i'm hurting pretty bad. I haven't had any gas pains at all though. Just sharp pain but even that is going away slowly. I'm so glad I did this. This is the beginning of my new life!
  11. I don't think it will hurt to use them and see if they work. I'd rather at least try it and be out a few hundred dollars than automatically going to surgery.
  12. No idea! I'm having my surgery Feb 26 lol!! I bet it tugs (at the least)!
  13. Is it possible to hide your JP Drain? I'm getting my surgery on Tuesday but I really don't want to miss my class on Thursday because she is giving us a test review for the week after next. I was thinking about takes a clothing pin and pinning it to the inside of my clothing. Has anyone else tried this?
  14. My surgeon says that 50% of people who get the sleeve will get acid reflux.
  15. My dad is this way. He told me I could lose the weight on my own if I tried hard enough. He told me I haven't tried hard enough. So for the past two weeks I haven't talked to him. My surgery is next Tuesday and I'm not sure if I even want to talk to him before that. I just told him that he will have to see the results and see. I told him that even if I lost the weight without weight loss surgery, it's highly unlikely that I will keep it off (just like last time).
  16. I'm also getting sleeve February 26 but here in the US. Good luck!!!
  17. How often should you use the global wraps? I'm getting my surgery next Tuesday. How long should I wait until I start using them?
  18. You're right. I need to document. She also says stuff to other people who have told me the things she says but they are not willing to go to the manager about it. So that kinda stinks. Oh well. God will take care of her. =) What amazes me more is she quotes the Bible every other word she says yet she does what she does. Such a hypocrite! =) Oh well!! Thanks taylokat!
  19. Well, I did tell my nurse manager but I also told her I was afraid she would do something back to me if I did tell her. This nurse is also our charge nurse. I told her I already told her one time to back off but it didn't work. I'm a very smiley person so maybe she didn't take me seriously. I told my nurse manager that I was going to have one more talk with her if she did it again (to handle the situation myself) and if she kept doing it THEN she can do something about it. But I have a feeling this nurse is going to be offly busy because she is going to become a float nurse while I'm off getting my surgery. She's used to having 2-3 easy patients but now she's going to have a full load soooo she's going to be too busy working to actually say anything.
  20. I loved the normal slim fast shakes so I imagine the high protein ones are really good too. I'm going to try them. They have some carbs in them but I'm not necessarily on an extremely low carb diet anyway.
  21. People are so jealous of you, that you are actually going to have help to lose weight, when they can't or won't. It is 100% jealousy, for the most part (if it isn't concern). There is this nurse at the hospital I work at and she was making fun of me because I'm fat and was telling all the nurses that getting that surgery won't help me lose weight. She told them how sick it made her to watch me eat and that she wanted to vomit just watching me eat. She's this skinny b***h that is always on a diet. I can't wait to lose weight and make her sooo jealous. People get jealous like that when relationships change. I'm much younger than her, much prettier than her, and now I'm going to be skinny too? And I'm almost done graduating nursing school. So it levels the playing field in her eyes. She considers me beneath her because of my weight. And now I'm changing it up on her. Let her be insecure and jealous, I don't care. I enjoy other people's jealousy. If you can't be happy for me than why do I care what you think about me? It used to bother me too, when people would say stuff and try to change my mind but once you have the surgery, they will 1. be happy for you or 2. be jealous of you.
  22. I'm absolutely 100% in love with my husband and would never leave him. He has helped me through so much. He keeps saying to me, "It's going to be weird, you being skinny." I think me losing weight is pushing him AND me out of our comfort zones. He was "joking" but he said to me that he hopes I don't leave him for someone else. But he is also 100% supportive of me getting the surgery. He even took off a week from work, just to be with me when I first get my surgery. Fantasies are fantasies. That is where they will stay for me. For some people, they might be realities.
