  1. Thank you both. I'm really loving life now and my Grandkids even notice how much more energetic MawMaw is.
  2. Marci!! Look at that shape!! Beautiful!
  3. Look at those skinny legs!! Congratulations on your 1 year Surgiversary and thank you for sharing your story. The health benefits of this is the really important issue. Good luck and great job!
  4. Just because your not losing on the scale doesn't mean your not losing inches. Measure yourself now so you can be reaffirmed during stalls that your still loosing inches. It makes a lot of difference if you do this so you can see progress during a stall.
  5. Congratulations!' That's a wonderful start on your new journey!
  6. Girl, 6 months is the turning point! Your stomach has finally healed and you start to feel completely normal again. BUT that doesn't mean you go back to old habits! Remember why you had WLS and how you felt before. This is the time to reinforce the new you. Being hungry all the time might be coming from the things your nibbling on. Are you nibbling on carbs? Protein first until you are satisfied and the a couple of bites of veggies. You'll find the hunger going away.
  7. Girl, you rocked it even when you were big!! Gorgeous!!
  8. Niki, how are you doing now that you're home?
  9. Thank all of yall so much. And yes, it's so much more fun shopping for clothes. As a matter of fact, it just go cold here in Texas so I had to shop for cold weather clothes for work today. It's so much easier when you're not in the "woman's" sizes and there's lots of cute stuff! I actually had fun!
  10. Sorry, I guess I misunderstood and thought this was about new traditions, not continuing old ones.
  11. And you're right! I'm 49 and it never gets old hearing that. Mainly because I looked way older than I was as a fatty. It feels awesome.
  12. My dinner tonight. Hubby & I went to Gringos Mexican Restaurant and shared this. It's combo fajitas with 4 shrimp brochettes. I put mine on the little bread plate but wasn't even able to eat all of that.
  13. You look wonderful! Look at that little pointy chin! And you full body pics show what a great job your doing. Keep up the good work!

OH GOOD GOD! I had a uterine ablation 3 years ago and haven't had a period since then! I had no idea it could come back. Please, please, please let this not be the case for me. I'm SO sorry for you!
  15. That's great news RJ! From a 6x is so awesome!!
  16. Congratulations!!!! We share the same Surgiversary!! You look amazing!!! Wow! Really an awesome job!!
  17. I also plan to just have a small bit of the things that I want at Christmas. I'll cook most of it so I can secretly "adjust" the recipes to fit my new lifestyle. Here are some of the "adjustments" that I made at Thanksgiving: 1. I replace sugar with Brown Sugar blend Splenda in the sweet potatoes and just put marshmallows around the outside leaving the very middle marshmallow free for me. 2. I use 98% fat free cream of mushroom soup and 2% cheddar in the green bean casserole. I add chopped onion to the green bean mixture instead of the fried ones and top it with the fried ones in the same manner I do the marshmallows on the sweet potatoes. 3. I added asparagus to the menu this year and it went over really good. 4. I omitted the butter from my dressing this year and, WHO KNEW, no one even noticed because of all of the protein we coonasses put in our cornbread dressing. Just a few of my "secrets" and no one but me and my hubby know, lol
  18. I agree with the others. That long without a loss isn't normal and you definitely need to see your surgeon for some tests. Good luck!
  19. Hi everyone! My 1 year Surgiversary was yesterday! I'm down 76 pounds! From 227 to 151. I'm 1 pound from my Doctors goal and 11 from my own. More importantly, I'm on half of the blood pressure medicine I was on and will probably soon be on none, I only take one med for my asthma when I used to take three, my oxygen rate is wonderful now and my overall health has astonished my primary care physician. I'm so happy with my sleeve!
  20. Congrats Lipstick! You've done an awesome job!! And I agree! Let's see some pics!
  21. Thank you all so much! And Laura, only if you'll trade tummies!
