My Ongoing Story :)
I'll have to look into that. At first I read it as Biotin spray and was like, "Uh, I don't think so" but Biotine makes much more sense. I'll be careful with the mixing...thanks for the advice! I do feel like I'm ready and I'm super excited!! I ended up ordering Lean Dessert chocolate Coconut Protein powder to replace the others. It has rave reviews and I love Chocolate Coconut bubble tea so here's to hoping it tastes anything like it

My Ongoing Story :)
Quick update: I tried all of the Protein from Optimum... The mocha cappuccino is killer...it tastes like Starbucks. Yum! The Caramel Toffee Fudge has too much of an after taste for my liking but my mom who hates Protein shakes liked it a lot. The Cake Batter was intolerable for me, just gross. I didn't have my mom try it because there was no point. I'm sending the Caramel and the Cake Batter back tomorrow...ick! I ordered nectar Fuzzy Navel but still need one more tub of protein. I've got a good stock of Jello, diet juice, flavored Water, etc. I'm going on the hunt for another Protein powder to order tonight. I'll let you know what I choose and let you know my thoughts on the unjury when it gets here Thursday.

Getting closer 12/19/2012
The 19th is a Wednesday, I know because that's my date! Good luck!

My Ongoing Story :)
Yeah, I met all of my requirements so they just pushed it right through. It seems to be different for everyone...there were no hoops for me to jump through. The surgeon called me the day they got the approval and were willing to schedule literately the NEXT week...like in 6 days. It happened to be finals week so I asked if we could do it the week after which was no problem and I'm all set for next Wednesday.

My Ongoing Story :)
Awh shucks..thank you He definitely is both a keeper and a sticker. We often argue about which one of us loves the other more. I think it's a tie, but he's definitely a sweetie. He even offered to do my post-op diet with me without having the surgery. I told him that I didn't want him to suffer so he's going to try Atkins. We're pretty good together and I see a pretty long and happy future with him!! Good luck to you and your son on your surgeries! I'm getting really excited :]]]]]]

My Ongoing Story :)
Alright, today was my nutrition class...very helpful! She went over a lot of things that I already knew but talked about supplements which I didn't know much about. There were a few other people at the class and they were clueless! One lady's surgery is in a week and she didn't know the first thing about it. She didn't even know she had to drink Protein shakes and was complaining! I can't believe you'd be signed up for such a life changing surgery without doing any research. So, my Gold Standard 100% whey Protein by Optimum Nutrition came in the mail today. I have: 5 lbs of Cake Batter flavor 2 lbs of Mocha Cappuccino 2 lbs of Caramel Toffee Fudge I tried the Cake Batter with Water tonight for fun, it'll taste MUCH better the second week when I can have skim milk but it's definitely not bad for being mixed with water. I'll blend some ice with it during the first week and it'll be all good. My powders?utm_source=BariatricPal&utm_medium=Affiliate&utm_campaign=CommentLink" target="_ad" data-id="1" >unjury chicken broth and Unflavored protein tubs are on their way. I ordered all of my Vitamins except the B-1 (thiamine) because I had a lot of trouble finding a sub-lingual version. (No pills for me for 6 months! My daily meds are going to be a pain but I'll manage) I got Celebrate brand for the vitamins that I could, I read pretty stellar reviews on the taste and quality so I ordered: Multivitamin Chewable in Grape, Mandarin Orange, and Strawberry-pineapple (I'll figure out which I like best and re-order that when I need them) Iron+C 30mg Chewable Grape Calcium Plus 500 Chewable Cherry-Tart They didn't have a chewable or sub-lingual Biotin or B-1 so I ordered this from VitaCost: Nature's Way 1000mg Biotin Lozenges (I've heard they have a yummy fruity flavor) I'll probably call my nutritionist tomorrow about the B-1 and see what she says. I picked out a comfy pair of Joe Boxer Pajamas, am getting liquid Tylenol and Gas-X strips from Walgreens tomorrow then I think I'm about set. My nice boyfriend moved up my SUPER comfy over sized chair from the basement to the living room so I can sleep comfy without trying to maneuver steps. How nice of him (I helped too, it was heavy!) I've got to get some Jello and probably some chicken broth from the store, take 2 more finals, throw one last party, then pre-op then surgery! One more week, I got this

My Ongoing Story :)
I'm 5'3. Thank you, I'm trying to make sure that I'm prepared. I'm starting to get anxious though, it's hard to imagine another week of waiting but I'm sure I'll get through! Good luck to you and your son with your surgery!!

Vitamins?
PPI? What about the Iron and Biotin? They are both pills...can I not take them right away?
-
Vitamins?
Do those all taste ok? I'm not too concerned with ones I swallow but I don't want to chew something nasty.
-
Vitamins?
My doctor didn't give me much info about what Vitamins to take, when to start taking them, etc. All he told me was B12. What do you guys take or what did your doctor tell you to take? Does it have to be a certain form? Any advice would be great!

Approved but now NOT SURE
Donny, you look AMAZING! No wonder your getting attention from girls!! You did a total 180, I hope I'm as successful as you. I'm doing the surgery partially for health reasons but mostly superficial...I can't wait to be little again Jessica, read everyone's stories on here...the risks are SO low and the results are wonderful. I'm so excited for my surgery date (19th) that I can barely sleep. I say go for it, avoid the future health problems and look sexy naked! Good luck!!

My CRAZY Boyfriend's Idea For Jello!
That's hilarious, you are just like him! Okay, so his opinions on your ideas.. First off, we don't have any grates in the fridge, it's all glass so unless we could rig your ball a different way or put it in the freezer and just watch it really close to make sure it doesn't freeze (which is a possibility) that won't work. The weasel may work, but what happens when the Jello gets too thick for the ball to move around? The powder may settle a little bit because the ball wouldn't be able to move around but it would still be better than without it because if it did settle it would to a much lesser extent of ickyness.

My CRAZY Boyfriend's Idea For Jello!
We haven't tried yet...surgery is in 10 days for me so he's going to make it in about a week and see how it works. I'll take a picture and let you guys know!

My CRAZY Boyfriend's Idea For Jello!
I suppose that you could cut open the bottle and let the jello ooze out into a bowl.

Sleeved 12/3/12

My CRAZY Boyfriend's Idea For Jello!
Ok, so my boyfriend is one of those super tech savvy Mr. Fixit type of people and I had a problem that I went to him with. I wanted to mix powders?utm_source=BariatricPal&utm_medium=Affiliate&utm_campaign=CommentLink" target="_ad" data-id="1" >unjury flavorless powder into my Jello without there being a weird cloud of powder because the texture makes me sick. So, this is the plan he has come up with: Buy a large remote control car, make the jello in a soda bottle, put the remote control car upside down in the fridge, turn it on, and put the soda bottle horizonatally over the wheels so that it will constantly be moving while hardening and the powder won't settle in one spot. He's crazy, but definitely loves me. I told him to have at it, just make me jello that I can eat.

4 month update 60 lbs lighter!
Wow, that's INCREDIBLE! I hope I'm that successful. you look fantabulous!

Approved!
I had to ask the lady to repeat that I was approved on the phone. My whole process was a breeze but I wasn't expecting a call back so soon and then at 10 am my phone rings and I'm approved. I got a surgery date and a post op consult date five seconds after she told me that I was approved and then we hung up. I had to take a few minutes to get myself together. I just couldn't believe it! I'm so excited...11 days left!

What's your favorite broth?
I read a bunch of reviews and people seem to like it so I checked to see if I could use my medical debit card which was accepted and bought the chicken broth and the unflavored for jello and pudding. Thanks for the suggestion!
-
What's your favorite broth?
To be honest, that scares the crap out of me. It sounds like it would be disgusting. Does it actually taste just like regular chicken broth? What about the texture? Is it thick or still clear like broth? I won't be able to handle it if it's thick and icky.

Show some skin?
Linda, you look amazing...thank you for sharing I really appreciate all the honest responses. Zumba is fun but learning the moves can be a bit of a challenge! I have a personal trainer and she's a sweet heart so she is going to help put exercise routines together for me at each step of the way.

Show some skin?
Is anyone willing to post pictures in a bathing suit or something that shows some skin? I'm paranoid that my skin is going to be saggy and ugly when I lose a lot of weight. I'm 267 and 19 and I'm wanting to get down to 125...does anyone have any thoughts or pictures? I know working out will help so I'm planning on doing a lot of that. Will my skin be yucky or will I be able to wear 2 pieces?
