  2. Feels so good be home . . MY vision is blurry ever since my surgery. I can see no problem far away, just not close. I boight natural tears, hopefully that is the problem.
  3. Welp.. I had my sleeve Tuesday the 8th and Today is Thursday the 10 th. The first day is the worse. Thank goodness for pain meds. I started at 274.6 the day I started pre-op liquid diet (14 days). The day of surgery I was 260.3. Today two days later I am 255. Its difficult journey, but every hour it gets better. Hopefully, I will discharged in the morning tomorrow.
  4. All those emotios are normal.. good luck
  5. Omg... waking up hurt!!! Thank God for PCA Morphine. The worse of my pain is just below my Diaphragm. Lots of gas. I vomitted once, felt better after that. Every hour that passes I feel better!! Thanks for all your support. Good luck to all of those preparing. If I can do it, anyone can.
  6. I chose the sleeve because of no changes in absorbtion of vitamins etc.. Thanks for all your support. I am getting in the shower one last time to wash with hibiclens and off to the hospital. I will keep you all updated. Good luck to all of you and your pre-op's... (its really hard to sleep the night before).
  7. Freaking out... scared and happy at the same time. Is that even possible? Got to take a shower before bed with hibiclens. I hope I can sleep.

  9. You can do what ever you let yourself do. Good luck. You WILL do it
  10. Ok... I have a question. I have my surgery tomorrow for the sleeve. My dream is to run a 5k. My biggest concern is, how do you stay hydrated, considering limited sleeve space when drinking your water. My plan is to start running with my daughter 6 weeks post op.
  11. Thanks... I often, in the past, liked to go out Dinner and afterwards chat with friends over a good glass of wine. I have my surgery tomorrow and I was thinking about that. Super duper excited and ready. Been on 2 week clear liquid 3x a day protein drink. Today is my last day before surgery and I know that I will be on liquids for another 5 weeks. So, I am looking forward to a nice dinner and a cup of wine... Lol Thanks for your input
  12. I know you can not drink 30 minutes before and after a meal. How do you pace this say... at a resturaunt and you want to join in on a glass of wine?? Just wondering??
  13. Great!! I am sure you will do well. Speedy recovery .. (mine is tomorrow)
  14. Hang in there, it gets easier. Just avoid being around food as best you can. I have been on 12 days of the liquid pre-op 2 more to go. The first few days are tough. Get sugarless gum and sugar free italian ice. They have array of sugarfree gum flavors... I know post op I can not chew gum, but its helping me pre-op. Geting that chomping feeling ... good luck, it goes by fast!
  15. Thanks.. good to hear from you!! Hope keep getting better! I got 3 more wake ups... can not wait to get it done!! Will keep updating.... thx
  16. Day 11 of clear liquid sugar free with 3 protein drinks a day and.... I am also cranky, but calm myself by doing the count backwards from 10 thingy, it helps. Yes.. I am pretty full, just miss grazing and chomping!! I think thats my weakness and I am dealing with it better than I thought. Mind staying STRONG! (Pre-op diet) Tuesday the 8th is my day, early wake up 3:30 am. Got to be there at 5am ..
  17. Wow.. Mine is the 8th. I am going through this emotional thing.. worried about my kids and how they will be. Wishing my husband would act more supportive. I just want it over with.
