  2. Im on the pre-op diet too...although i wish it were on the list, I don't think ice cream is on the full liquid list (at least not mine).... Only b/c of the amount of sugar/carbs it has. Light/non fat/ yogurt is a great substitute.
  3. Hi Lauren13....ill be sleeved on the 3rd. Lets stay in touch.
  4. I'm on Pre-Op day #9 (6 days left) and I am already so OVER these shakes....(Vanilla Isopure & Premier). I wish I could just eat some Broccolli or green beans.... I'd be happy . Hang in there, we don't have much longer.
  5. I'm drinking shakes made from zero carb isopure (vanilla), gnc amplified whey (chocolate), and I also have the premier (pre made) shakes. I
  6. I'm Jan. 3rd too... & must agree liquid diet during the holidays totally sucks ;(
  7. Wow.... 21 days... You are definitely an inspiration. Keep up the good work. Have you run into any challenges along the way... Or has it mostly been the initial 1-3 days when your body goes into complete shock ?
  8. So I've made it to day #5 of this liquid/shake only diet. I've cheated a few times with a skinned apple or a banana, just to curve the intense pangs. But not as bad as I initially imagined. Keeping busy helps a lot. This period really brings light to how much/role food plays in my life. I've turned down 3 social gatherings where I know food/drinks would be there.... I'd rather not be tempted or go through all the explanations b/c I know everyone is going to ask 'why I'm not eating/drinking'? Oh well, just looking at the bigger picture. I sure hope all this is worth it..... How are all the Pre-Op dieters doing out there?
  9. Bibim.... Who is your surgeon & when are u scheduled? I'll be going to forest park too...on 1/3/13
  10. Anume81.... Dallas by way of lewisville..."soon to be" a sleever here
  11. Hi lortesha86...I also will be sleeved on 1/3/13. I gained 10 pounds since my last visit with the surgeon, so I decided to start incorporating the Pre-Op a little early (2 shakes and 1 sensible meal).....whats your loc?Our day will be here before we know it.
  12. @ Glenda_lee.... Who was your surgeon?
  13. You (we) can do this!!! Mind over matter.
  14. Just had my EDG this morning and I have gained 10lbs since my initial consult (May 2012)..... This is ridiculous;(.....since I had to do 24 hours of clear liquids I think I am going to start my pre-op diet now (even though I m starving) they say the first 3-4 days are the worst.... My surgery date is 1/3/13. Has anyone else gained weight prior to staring their pre-op? I know it's probably more common for lbs to be coming off than on. I really have a problem and am going to get my act together starting NOW.
  15. Hi LenaVSG.... I'm scheduled to be sleeved 1/3/13...& I can hardly wait
