Anyone with acid reflux
Went to Walmart the the pharmacist looked at me like I was crazy. I will try the Trader Joes or GNC tomorrow. Otherwise I can probably get it on line. Right?

Losing "body", not weight
I had the same thing happen several times. The scale would stop and my body would catch up. Sizes changed and clothes were bigger. I think that sometimes it takes our bodies time to catch up with the losses. I really didn't notice things getting bigger as I was losing. It was almost like the scale had to stop and then I would see the difference in my body.

Anyone with acid reflux
I looked at Walmart and they didn't have it. Any ideas where else I can find it. I am using Nexium and praying that this reflux stops.

Closet Bandster's pt. 2
I told my husband, my mom, my sister and 1 close friend. My kids ages 8 and 12 were told that I had surgery on my stomach. No one except my husband and kids see my stomach so there was no need to explain the scars no anyone else. As far as people asking how I am losing weight I tell them that am on South Beach. The loss is slow and steady so no one has figured it out.

what about heartburn?
Desert Mom- Hopefully being unfilled will help-I have been unfilled for 3 1/2 months. I am taking nexium which seems to be helping. I am also trying to avoid foods that seem to aggravate. I never had the bringing more the pain in the breastbone area. Should clear up soon.

New diet i found
I think I am going to have to give this a try. I would love to lose a pound-it would put me under "onederland" I guess I could substitute chicken for beef. ( I don't eat beef) Wish me luck.

Road to onderland challenge May 21-June 21
Stayed the same again. I guess I should be happy, no fill and not gaining. This week I am going to try to exercise more, maybe that will jump start me.

what about heartburn?
I never had heart burn or reflux until about 9 months post band. The Doctor cannot explain why it started because most people get rid of it. Oh lucky me!

July 05 Bandsters 1 year Bandiversary Coming
I had 2 fills one of about 1.6 and another to make it 2.6 total. I am very happy with my clothing sizes, I started at a 24 and am wearing a 14 most of the time. The best thing is that I can go into my closet and have a choice. I know that I have a ways to go but it doesn't seem so insurmountable now that I have taken off a "chunk" Mandy-have you looked into the Plastic surgery? I think I may need some when I reach goal. I have the ugliest thighs on the planet-alien like skin. Thought they would go back to the way they were when I was younger but so far it isn't happening.

July 05 Bandsters 1 year Bandiversary Coming
I had to get an unfill in March after, some reason getting too tight. Then I had several bouts with the gallbladder and had that removed. Then to top it all off I developed reflux. I cannot understand the reflux thing because I have never had it before and I thought the band helped those who did have it get rid of it. But now that the gastro doctor has me on nexium it seems to be under control Now I have to wait for a while (per my band Dr) to get a fill. I am not really worried because for unexplained reasons I have had a bit of restriction for about a week. I was a little scared while everything was hpapening, I thought that something was wrong but I really believe that it is OK now. I don't exercise as much as I should (not even close) How about you? Are you involved in an exercise program? Have you had any problems?

July 05 Bandsters 1 year Bandiversary Coming
Hi-I cannot believe it has been almost a year. I am pretty happy with my weight loss. Have had some ups and down through the year but have managed to keep it going. I know that had I not decided on the band I would never be this weight. I have been able to get clothes "out of hiding" (i have several boxes and sizes packed away in my basement) I am wearing clothes that I haven't seen in 10 years and never thought I would wear again. I am thrilled with my progress but like many others I kind of wish it was faster.

Hello
It takes time for your body to adjust. Make sure that you are drinking enough water. Don't worry it will pick up.

Can you feel your port
I couldn't feel it when I was 1st banded. I can feel it quite easily now. Mine is under my left ribcage.

I am celebrating a great NSV!
Fantastic!!! You must be thrilled.

2 years already? Wow
You are truly inspiring. Congratulations on you losses as well as the gain of yourself.

regrets
The only thing about the band that I regret is that I didn't get it sooner. I haven't had any major problems, had my gallbladder out, had to be unfilled because of reflux but I do not regret getting my band. I am down nearly 70 pounds, I feel great and I can run and play with my kids. The band takes work, it takes dedication and it takes patience. It isn't fast and furious it is slow and steady.

Pics-Mini_me...-15.5lbs
15 pounds made such a major difference. I cannot believe it!! You look great!

Depressed
What you are feeling is so normal. I had my moments like that. They will pass. I was so sure that I had made a mistake. Now, about 10 months later I couldn't be happier, I know I didn't make a mistake I make a great choice. You will not believe how good you feel in just a short time. I hated the isopure-actually had to try several different kinds until I found something I liked. Try some different ones, some appeal to some and not others.

In need of good (healthy) snacks
I can eat fruit in small amounts. When I am really craving it I get the pre-dished packs, you know, like the ones you pack in a kids lunch. I also put some unsweetened applesause in the freezer and have a apple-sauce slush. My snaks are few and far between but if I am starving I make a protien shake.

Periods and restriction??
I get restricted the week before my period. With ot without a fill. I wish it was mre consistant but I guess we cannot control that. I do try to drink more water during that time and it seems to help a little bit.
