  1. Oh I am so glad I found this forum! All of your stories sound like mine. I actually looked to make sure I hadn't wrote them!! I was sleeved yesterday and am so excited about my future. My BMI was 34, I am 5'2" and 39 years old. I have dieted my whole life and always gained back more than I lost. I am self pay too. No comorbitites yet, but on borderline for diabetics, etc. I know in 5 years I would be in worse shape, so why wait that long. Go ahead and do it now so I never get there! So of course I start having those negative thoughts about this not working because I already had a lower BMI. So glad i found this forum to take those negative thoughts away. I will keep you updated on my progress. I was sleeved 11/19- yesterday morning. Still in overnight stay. Hope to be home later this morning. I have some pain but nothing unbearable and the meds definitely help. Been walking as much as possible. Been taking sips of Water for the past few hours and so far so good.
  2. I had mine this morning too! I agree, pain is manageable and improves by the hour. It has been helping to het up and walk and to change positions in bed. I am fortunate that my Dr lets me take sips of water or protein clear liquids. About 2oz every 15 minutes while I am awake. Can't believe it's done! Best wishes to you and everyone else on here!
  3. I am only planning to take one week. A little worried it won't be enough but I know others who have only taken a week and did fine. I would still like to hear experiences from others who only took a week off.
  4. Yes, I am scared I won't do well on the liquid diet either.
  5. I start my liquid diet November 4. I am very excited but a little nervous too. I look forward to hearing how everyone does.
  6. I am scheduled for 11/18....very excited and ready to do this!
