I was told protein shakes about 3-5 days after surgery.. BUT.. I suddenly cant keep them down..they are too sweet so I went to GNC for the isopure clear protein drinks..its a little better..1 bottle is 160 cal 40g protein and you also get 20 oz fluid.. hope this helps ..I was sleeved 3-6..so we are just 1 day off- normal?
- normal?
Is it normal to get about 3 oz of full liquid. (Yogurt or soup) in about 20-25 min??? I feel like 2 oz is not enough and 3 is just right.. I am 6 days out..I hope I am not stretching my sleeve...it seems impossible to get 48-64 oz of anything in all day..I start at 6 am and go til 9 pm and still fall short..HELP!!! Lol..thanks- Any March Sleevers?
Wow..thats great!!! I am lucky to get 35 g a day...my taste buds have changed tremendously... all my favorite things taste terrible..- 3 days post op...is this normal?
- What are some things that you wish you would have known before you got sleeved?
I have read these forums forever...and I wish I would have known that there is a possibility that you would feel flu like after surgery... I am 4 days post op and feel like crap!!! No pain where surgery was.. just freezing cold...no energy..and gas moving through me like a freight train...and it wont come out...also a freaking killer migraine and stiff neck from the hospital bed.. not to complain or anything... lol- 3 days post op...is this normal?
I have read everything on here for months and now I guess it's my turn to flip out...lol..anyways, I am now home after 3 days in the hospital...I had an extra night stay due to severe vomiting with my first attempts at liquid intakes. Now here is my dilemma, I feel like its gonna be impossible to get all the calories and liquids In are these people nuts??? I have been moved up to full liquids but even that feels like its not possible?? Totally stressed out..I am lucky to get in 100 calories all day with all the water I try to get in.. any suggestions???? Thanks.- Any March Sleevers?
I had a similar experience...minus the hernia repair...I felt like I had the flu and was puking for days...surgery was Wednesday, came home today..still feel like crap!!! No pain in the surgical area...just body aches..don't know why???? Anyway good luck to a speedy recovery..and yes sip sip sip . I feel that's all I do..lol- Less than 24 hours to go!
Good for you..my first 2 days were great...then they started my fluids... which bought me an extra night at the hospital.. couldn't keep anything down..so now I am on a steroid to help with swelling in my esophagus and I was able to keep down 5 oz of fluids... and it only took 3 hours to get that in...lol...at this rate I will lose 100 pounds in 2 months... joking!!! Things will get better I am sure..take care- need some advice
I am still in the hospital.. so not worried about hydration.. (IV). But not on protein yet either.. just clear liquid now.. just frustrated..- need some advice
So I am 2 days post op...I cant seem to figure out this eating and drinking thing..yesterday I got down about 1 oz of chicken broth..puked right up...next I tried it cold..nope..came right up..I dont want to get sick.. I am not hungry at all..and I feel the gas moving through me..but very hard to pass..help!! Lol- day 1 post op...

Lmao...i just did that...I feel like I am gonna have a damn nervous breakdown.. my legs are shaking..teeth chattering... its crazy...they better hook me up to an IV as soon as I walk in the door.. good luck.. I will try to jump on here tomorrow... fingers crossed- Wtf! Greasy Hair
I can tell you about a wonderful product call powder fresh by Redkin.. I am a hairstylist...we use this for updos because it thickens the hair and you can spray it right on the roots.. It also dries up the greasy feel to hair...I work for Regis salons so if you have one nearby call and ask if they carry it..it's about $10 or so..hope this helps . Also baby powder works but it can make hair staticky...good luck- Less than 24 hours to go!
Good luck to you as we'll...I can't believe in 12 hours i will be at the hospital..holy crap..they better give me some Zanex...lmao..talk to you all as soon as I can - Any March Sleevers?
