  1. I started on the morning of surgery. Luckily my surgeon doesn't use catheters. But they would not let me use a tampon. They put a chucks under me and a huge pad. I got to put a tampon in as soon as I got to my hospital room. I was mortified
  2. I personally have to drink two premier protein shakes a day and then that leaves me no room for any food, because I have to drink my water the rest of the day. I have bought unjury unflavored and chicken soup protein, and unflavored soy protein from Kroger, but the texture of it in yogurt or jello just makes it inedable. I cannot stomach bariatric advantage. I was sleeved on the dec 27th also and my dr said to do whatever I had to do to get my protein
  3. Hang in there. It's very emotional to go through the physical changes, but remember that your stomach produces a harmony, so it's normal to feel a little psychotic lol
  4. I pray your healing well. Why did they have to open u up?
  5. I have lost 31 lbs and haven't changed sizes. It may be due to swelling since I am only 8 days post op
  6. I can't have oatmeal, cottage cheese, ricotta, eggs or applesauce till next week
  7. I started yesterday. I ate 2 tsp of Greek yogurt and 1tsp of SF pudding and did fine. So today I ate 2 oz of cream of broccoli soup but it took me 45 minutes and my stomach made every noise possible. I am only one week post op
  8. It took me one week to move the , and when I did, I thought I was gonna die! I go once a day for my entire life. This has been a new experience
  9. I slept in a recliner for a few days . I am still not completely comfy and I am a week post op
  10. I can drink a 8 oz glass of water or tea with no issue in 20 minutes. I haven't changed completely to full liquids yet
  11. If it's a slider food u may beagle to because it just dumps into ur intestines

  13. Every surgeon is different. Mine has me on clear for a week, full for a week, then I start adding food...real food
  14. I felt hungry today too. It's so scary to eat. I am on clear liquids until Thursday and then can advance to full liquids but I went ahead and cheated today.
  15. I have had little trouble with liquids. Yesterday I had a whole premier shake with 30 grams of protein and had no trouble holding it down. Today is the first time I really wanted food and I ate two tsp of Greek yogurt. Has anyone else fudged and ate a full liquid yet?
  16. I am taking liquid loratab. I am taking 1tsp every four hours. I really hope to be taking Tylenol by tomorrow night.
  17. My hospital had bluebell sf Popsicles. And we have searched everywhere for them. But cannot find them in the louisville area
  18. I had a hernia repair and I am still in some pain.
  19. It was depressing for the first few days. I don't know why, but I expected to be down ten pounds already and I am only three days post op lol

  21. I am doing about the same except I am not getting My protein in. I am going to add a premier protein shake tomorrow even though its not on my diet until next week
  22. I left the hospital 7 1/2 pounds heavier than before surgery
  23. I was sleeved on the 27th also. I cannot get all my protein in
  24. I am having surgery in louisville tomorrow at 8:30 also
