JerseyGirl68 i hope your surgery went well and you are recovering fast. I am doing good. The worst part was waking up after surgery with the tube in my throat and i couldnt talk or breath! I was trying to pull it out and they were holding my arms down! That was awful. But after that i moved on and spent tuesday, wednesday and thursday in the hospital. I came home thursday nite. Slept on the recliner which is the place i've been sleeping since i got home. I made the mistake of trying to go to bed and i had a hard time getting out cuz of my stomach muscles being so sore! So the is Day 5 for me as long as i drink my liquids slowly ive been ok. Best of luck to you.
Excited, anxious and a little apprehensive but i know this is the beat path for me! Best wishes to all fellow sleevers...what a nice christmas present for me! Thank you bc/bs and Dr. BenMeier
Thats amazing! You look terrific! I'm about 2 weeks presurgwry and so many questions and worries run through my mind. Scared, anxious, worried but excited. Wondering what life afterwards will be like for me. Any thoughts, insights, helpful words?
Dec 11 for me. Same excited and nervous. But just trying to think this is the best thing for me. I go monday nov 19 for my meeting with the dr. I will know more then about he pre op diet. Best of luck to you!
Hi i'm new on here. Surgery scheduled for 12/11 in CLE, Oh. Yeah i've been totally avoiding my sisters because i know they will disapprove and tell me i just need to diet and exercise. Really.....is THAT how you loose weight? Geee i never thouht of that! Guess my 1200 to 1500 calorie a day plan wasn't a diet......and the walking and yard work i've been doing arent considered exercise. Whatever....i just figure i'll deal with them afterwards. Mom is worried. Just wants me to be safe. Told her i didnt want her there day of surgery. Dont want to scare her. Maybe after im home a week or so. Right now im scared of dehydration after surgery. I hear that is a problem. Any tricks to avoid that? Just sip water all day long?
