I have lost 113 lbs in 8 months.......i eat protein before anything else.....its a steuggle everday but this was the tool i needed to stay on the right tract......i used to always be hot and sweaty (gross!).....now i am freezing all the time......LOVE that! And this week i noticed that my thighs no longer rub together....i now have a gap there now! My fav new this is being ableto cross my legs.....friggin awesome feeling! ♥
  2. I am a critical care nurse in icu......have lost 113 lbs in 8 months! I lovvvvvvve my sleeve.......never ever have i eaten this consistently healthy in my entire life!

  7. dr treen in marrero.......the first 2 weeks is the hardest.......at week 3 it is soooo much easier.....hang in there cause the begining is tough just trying to get all your water/protein in.....

  9. sarah, i am sooo sorry......i was floored when i read that you only lost 30 lbs total.......i am a month out and have lost 34lbs.......something seems wrong......even if you ate just chocalate and ice cream, i am sure it is less calories than you ate before the sleeve............i wonder if your sleeve is too big????? kudos to you for posting.....this is a support forum, so please know that we support you and want to help......coming to this site is a great step......please keep us updated.....(((((hugs)))))

  13. gotcha.....well, i live a 1.5 hrs from west jeff hospital, but soooooo glad i had it there......i researched TONS on this and found my surgeon.....he was on national tv stations talking about this surgery......highly, highly recommend dr. treen in marrero....he is the absolute best in the area......you can you tube dr. treen and can see his news stories.....i will happy to be your sleeve buddy! this is a great forum to find out info and how peeps are doing (*¯︶¯*)

  15. hey bebee, i had gilsbar insurance (80/20) and had my surgery at west jeff hospital on the westbank.....me and my best friend had it done within one week of each other.......our surgeon is the best.....neither of us had any complicatiins at all......so, you are pre-op?
  16. hi ! i live on the northshore, so not far from you! i had my surgery nov 26th.....i have lost 33 since preop diet.......best thing i have evvvvver done.....first few weeks are tough, but getting easier and easier.....any questions, just lmk!!! (*¯︶¯*)
  17. i had my surgery on nov 26th and i have lost 33 lbs.....i dont compare myself with others.....one day at a time......it will come off.....just memba, we didnt gain it fast, so we shouldnt lose it fast......i think you are doing great!!! (*¯︶¯*)

  21. good luck, boo!!! i have a bsn (been in critical care for 18 yrs)......i am 2.5 wks post op and have lost 31 lbs already.....this is the best thing you can do for yourself and your career......you will feel soooo much better......keep us posted!!!!!
  22. the reason i waited this long (had it done 2.5 wks ago) was because my mom said 'you have a son to raise!!!' suggesting that i was risking my life unnecessarily......well, i was risking my life before!!! best decision ever and now she is supportive.....i have lost 31 lbs and just started on my journey!!!! good luck! do whats best for YOU!!!

  24. agree.....i, too, have eaten one or two bites too much then regretted it.....i think its cause i cant tell what full means with the new stomach......so strange!
  25. i have no problem with any of it.....keep up the great work, guys!!!! no one understands what we are going through but us........new clothes is like a graduating to the next phase!!!!
