  1. I find I order what I want but I make sure it isn't breaded or fried. I will also leave off the carbs & order extra veggies. I love Red Lobster, Longhorns, & diner food (I live in NJ, diners are everywhere). Most places will meet my dietary requests.
  2. Take the iron pill with vitamin C. It helps your body absorb the iron which should ease the constipation. My surgery was postponed due to an iron deficiency back in July 2012. By Oct. my level was acceptable. Also, eat lots of fish & leafy green veggies at every meal. Hope this works for you.
  3. Yes. Twice. Most recent occurrence was this past Sunday & it lasted 2 days. I had to take 3 Gas-X pills. I think it was some cooked cabbage I ate.
  4. I drink GNC Total Lean shakes. They have 25 grams of whey isolate protein & other vitamins & nutrients. They have vanilla, chocolate & strawberry premade. I add different flavorings (vanilla, coconut, almond) to the vanilla for a nice change but they taste good alone. They are also lactose free.
  5. I was sleeved on 11/1/12 & felt the same way. My Nutrtionist informed me I was getting dehydrated which mimics hunger. I was told todrink at least 3 bottles of water each day along with 2 protein drinks & pureed foods. I don't feel hungry all the time anymore. I hope this helps.
  6. I went to my f/u appt yesterday & was told what I am feeling is not hunger but is a sign of dehydration. I was told to drink at least 3 bottles of Water each day & this will subside. He is right that I have not been drinking enough.
  7. I enjoy the GNC Total Lean products. The ready made shakes are delicious, especially the dark chocolate. Also have vanilla & strawberry in ready made shakes. Other varieties available in powder. These have no chalky after taste.
  8. I have my post-op appt w/ my surgeon tomorrow. I will ask about this.
  9. I had surgery on 11/1/12. I feel hungry. Is this normal? I feel I need more than a Protein shake, yogurt or broth which is my week 2 diet. Any suggestions?
