Hello guys, hope you're having a fantastic week. If some of you are in my exact situation "waiting for insurance approval" lets find comfort in each other and share our story... My paper were submitted to Cigna last Wednesday 12/12/12 and yesterday the surgeons coordinator called to request a Diet History that the insurance company is asking for... I think is a good sign ... What do you think??

Please keep me posted. My surgeons office submitted the papers last Wednesday (12/12/12) and yesterday the coordinator called me to ask for a diet history. So apparently they are working on my case but I don't have an answer yet. I am schedule for dec 27th but if they don't approve me before that obviously they'll reschedule .... Lets see I have my fingers and toes crossed. Good luck to you!!! Ohhh by the way I also have Cigna

Congrats. I am on the waiting period now. They submitted my papers last Wednesday (12/12/12) and today the surgeons office called me to ask for a Diet History that the insurance us requesting. I don't know if that is a good or bad sign, but I have faith and I know everything is going to be just fine. I have a BMI of over 40, diabetic and high blood pressure. So don't think they have a reason to say no. I have a date 12/27/2012 but since the insurance has not approved yet I don't know if they will change the date. GOOD LUCK and please keep us posted.

Hello all. I need all the prayers you guys can send my way. I've had a very intense week ( and is only Wednesday). Starting by the fact that the cardiologist took forever to give me the clearance and of course I was thinking the worse, having a surgery schedule for December 27th I was hysterical. Things got better yesterday evening when FINALLY the cardiologist and the PCP sent the paper to my surgeon. This morning I called the surgeons office to make sure everything was in order and the coordinator informed me that the paperwork was going to be submitted today but that he can't guarantee that I will get approved before the 27th, that most likely my surgery was going to be postponed. OH LORD HAVE MERCY I already asked for time off ( they approved me cause is low season) and I already have everything ready for the 27th ???? Please pray for me to get the Approval on time. I really need the surgery.. By the way I have Cigna.. Any experience you would like to share??? How long does it take to get Approved ??

Also please if you have Cigna, share your experience. Thanks

Hello everyone here I am struggling with bad thoughts about my heart <3 <3 I had an EKG last week and the cardiologist said everything is fine and I am pretty sure you will be fine and able to do surgery, But she is telling me now that I need to do an Eco and a Nuclear stress test. I am fine with the Eco cause I know is a requirement from the insurance company but why a nuclear stress test and not a regular one?? My copay is 250 dollars for a nuclear and 0 for a regular. Is not even about the money is about the fact that my understanding is that a nuclear stress is usually perform to people they think has a coronary decease. Please help me understand ... What's going on???

I am currently trying Muscle Milk light but for sure will try Whey Powder with fruits and Splenda. I am happy for you and your progress and also the fact that you have a lovely husband helps a lot. 48 lbs wow that's amazing. I am extremely happy for you and hopefully soon I will be sharing the hood news with you... Can you tell me a little but of your pre op diet??? I am trying to eat as healthy as possible but sometimes my sugar still high in the mornings any advise??
