  4. And I worried about things like "what if I lose to much weight" Ok who am I kidding? That's one worry I NEVER had Oh and guess what?? The scale told me 152 today! I'm kinda excited but honestly I've not been feeling well the last couple of days... Just kinda been under the weather and now have a dull backache. But 152
  5. Your right, I would of loved to sponge down.... Missus butter!!! Neener-neener-neener!!
  6. Here! Here! Georgia! I guess that's where my distress was coming from on that thread (and several others) some are only a few WEEKS out too There is so much to learn on this journey (HATE that word) and there is something to be said about taking advantage of those first months to change mindsets and take advantage of that awesome weight loss window..... Sigh how I miss those days
  7. Glad the fever broke! Oh I bet missus butter is going to miss those sponge baths now that you can shower on your own
  8. Hi guys! Ok first yesteday I was at 547 I had a bit of a run in with some homemade guacamole and chips I've not done anything creative in a while... That might be what's missing! (That and exercise) It's nice to see some new faces that participate!! Brown, I dont get nausea in the mornings but I read here all the time about people getting it when going on a restrictive diet. Maybe? That and acid? Chimera, Hope your husband is feeling better soon..
  9. I started a thread about food addiction back in the day... It was called "big fat people" Catchy title huh? I really wanted to get this whole food addiction thing and why some fat people had it and others did not... I think yes some of it is what people believe an addiction is. I really think that we all have some disordered eating, it's how we all got extra large. But others truly believe its just hunger... We are all so similar in so many ways, but at the same time we are oceans apart sometimes on our thoughts, theories, philosophies ???
  10. Well if we are you will be happy to know I forgot that old battle ax's birthday yesterday Yep folks forgot me own mothers bday! Moral of the story never feed your kid spoonfuls of cod liver oil!
  11. Some people plain and simple don't believe in food addiction... And some feel that they do not have an addiction to food. And some feel comfort in pushing food (or moderation) on others because it makes them feel better about eating it too. Whatcha think?
  12. I LOVE PUMPKIN!!! I got some purée and put it on my Greek yogurt with pumpkin pie spice, vanilla extract and stevia yummy! Oh and I saw this .. http://www.jaadenguyen.com/2012/12/pumpkin-froyo.html?m=1
  13. Lol I kinda wondered that too... My mom used to make us drink that ****. And I blame her for my food issues
  14. I told myself I would not jump in here again... But I feel I must. I must say there are parts about this thread that I personally find distressing too. Yes everyone here knows that I have an addiction to food that I am trying to deal with.... Apparently I'm one of the very few people that do around here. I do not take pride in my moments of falling off the rails. Because it's not just a cookie! For some of us. It's the meaning behind that cookie and the many more to come after that first one. I know this is not entertaining and it might bore a few. But as someone who is a bit further out I can say it gets harder. I don't know maybe some of you started with very low bmi's and don't have that long of a road to travel? Or you truly don't like to much food and never had a real problem with it as some of you say? We are all different I will give you that. But in my heart of hearts I really feel that none of us got morbidly obese because we had a healthy relationship to food and just ate because we were truly hungry all the time..
  15. I did things like refried beans and a bit of cheese, also turkey chili is good. Quick meal turkey meatball or loaf with some watery gravy and watery instant mashed potatoes. Same with chicken and gravy.
  16. Do you teach us how to cook that on your new bariatric cooking show???
  17. Wow coops that is awesome! You have talent!! I'm glad your mood has picked up, I'm feeling a bit better too. When you get as down as I was this weekend the only direction there is, is up... So I'm glad to be climbing out And yes I would move that ticker, it's been there and it's a new low. So now you hold on for dear life and shoot for the next pound down, At least that's what I do
  18. Ok 7.8 miles on the recumbent bike today.. 30.8 miles total
