  1. Revs, You'll be happy to now that further out you can drink a LOT more! I've had 6 cups of hot tea today, on top of my 2 cups of coffee this morning... I'm floating away as we speak Oh Georgia crustless quiche good idea! I've not had an egg in forever I'd forgotten about them. I just bought some ancient grains but I'm trying to ration them because the carbs don't stick with me long. If I have hot Cereal I get hungry soon after..
  2. Dust it off girls!! Still chugging along towards goal here
  3. So basically you will be done in the first week?? Doesn't sound like much as a challenge!
  4. Lol! See that's what I'm taking about Yes we need to figure this out... I'm so stumped I've only had a little turkey meat today... And way too much tea blech
  5. For me the more sugar I eat the more I want it.. So I really try and stay away...
  6. I used to get this! My hands would start shaking and I felt like I was going to pass out if I didn't eat something quick! About a year before surgery I cut out all sugars (real and fake) because of food addiction issues but low and behold the weakness and shakes went away... Now of course right after surgery it's hard to avoid some fake sugar. But its a good thing to wean back off when you get further out. I. Know easier said than done
  7. See I'm at a loss... This isn't my first winter, but truthfully last winter I was still healing. So much easier. I got really used to my routine over the summer and changes scare me (if its not broke don't fix it) Today is a fast day for me so I'll have to change up my extra cold yogurt for something that is warm and won't blow my calories for the day. It's more of the feeling of wanting to burrow and eat that I think I'm dealing with. Perhaps in the past I felt I could cover up and hide the extra food...
  8. Do you find the cravings any stronger this time of year? It's like an instinctual thing to pack in the food for me...
  9. What a transformation butter! This is so exciting to see you go through this process. Also this journey is so personal and I thank you for sharing!
  10. And this is the time of year I did my "best" eating In the past... I think I may have been a bear in a past life, Trying to fatten up to slumber through the cold months The last couple of days I'm feeling the chill, having a harder time taking in my 70 oz of freezing cold liquids.. I'm a creature of comfort and got used to my cold cold drinks everyday and my almost frozen Greek yogurt frozen blueberry combo. With the chill my mind wants to snuggle up to something warm and comforting. I have a feeling that I'm not alone on the old patterns of putting on the weight over winter? How do you get through the weather transitions? I would love to know as I sit here with my warm mug of tea...
  11. OMG some of those girls are too skinny!!!
  12. You may want to put the work into changing this now... You are still early out, but when you get further along flushing out your food will become an issue (as in weight gain when you are able to eat more and hunger returns) what starts out as a little will become more after awhile in my experience. the "rule" is there for a really good reason and although I don't follow every rule (I drink coffee in the mornings) I find following most of them sets you up for success long term.
  13. Wow butter that is a clean line!! You look awesome! Already!!!!
  14. Ok you have my permission to kill him now! Oh wait the bacon is doing it for you.. And yuck three days in a row??
  15. Yep chicken is hard for some.... So it sounds like you don't have a stricture, although I would if wanted and endoscopy over a barium swallow but I guess the doctor saw what he needed to see. Weight does slow after 6 months but the sliders (as you know) are going to be the problem. I would eat the meats that you can and veg rather than go back to liquids. Also plain greek yogurt with berries are a good snack/meal with tons of protein.
  16. Ok, have you asked your surgeon about this?? An oz is rather small. Do you measure it?
  17. Hey! That is my 1 year anniversary! Sometimes band to sleeve patients have a harder time losing because the sleeve is not able to be formed the same. But as with everything in life you have to comply and put the hard work in too.
  18. Hi, How do you get sick with Protein dense food may I ask?
  19. Great job! I can really see the progress
