  1. Jack in the box drive through Ok that's the funny part...well all of it is funny. But the doctor sews this on for a month because it takes a month to break a habit or learn a new behavior... I don't know about that because 9 months later? I'm still trying to learn new habits and kick old behaviors.
  2. Mmmm... You lost me at the word "journey" (that's part of my criteria of accepting a new sleeve buddy) too bad. Oh, and I murder the English language when it comes to spelling, punctuation, etc. But, I would like to think I know a thing or two about being sleeved despite it. I'm out!
  3. OMG so did I!! That is so funny after I thought what the what Laura? So glad I'm not the only one
  4. This morning my husband forgot his bag at home that contains all of his things for work.. So he called and asked me "How much do you love me?" He's an ER PA so he said just pull up to the ER bay and call, I can run out and meet you. You see he's worked there for going on six years and I've never stepped foot in there because of embarrassment about my weight.. He's never been embarrassed about me but I have. some the nurses and techs tease him about not really having a wife because they have never seen me (no holiday parties for me). Today at 6:15am, fresh out of bed and looking that way! I pulled up to the ER, parked and walked into my husbands work like a normal spouse delivering something to their husband He took me around to meet people and show me his office. NSV? I would say normal life, and it felt good to be "normal" doing the little things you never would of done.
  5. Here's a good read http://www.verticalsleevetalk.com/topic/78443-the-pre-op-diet-is-not-a-punishment-its-an-opportunity/
  6. Nerves of steel because I was scared shitless about having the surgery canceled! But it was hard.. I am a night time eater so I'd save some of my food (shakes) to help with the witching hours. Oh yes mine was two weeks also, You are so close, hang in there!
  7. Have they scoped him? I was thinking stricture, but perhaps not, So extreme gerd?? Here's a thread about a recents sleever with extreme gerd, it happens sometimes .... http://www.verticalsleevetalk.com/topic/77969-sleeve-revision-to-gastric-bypass-tomorrow/
  8. Enema! Your only other option should you get more impacted is digital extraction.. Do the enema...
  9. I'm just lazy and watching tv
  10. Oh and sorry about the above, I was thinking out loud. On the situation... O_o
  11. I'm watching this on 20/20 right now http://abcnews.go.com/m/story?id=19840923&ref=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.google.com%2Fm%2Fsearch%3Fq%3Dtongue%2Bpatch%2Bdiet%26source%3Duniv%26tbm%3Dnws%26tbo%3Du%26sa%3DX%26ei%3D9Y_8UdXxFsS0iQLXw4AY%26ved%3D0CCgQqAI
  12. Wow that a tough one, my husband is a LOT more athletic than me, so he goes and mountain or road bikes on his days off without me.. But I "let" him because it feeds him like it would never feed me. But we still do things together at least once a week that involves exercise.. It's ok to do separate things. I have my things he has his. what about talking to her about making an effort. Do you think you can get her to set up a "date" night where you guys go out? She's going to have to compromise, if I don't want to do something I can't also expect my husband to sit with me every night.
  13. And exhale... You look beautiful!
  14. Hmmmm.... Fiddle interesting.... I.... Well... You... Awwww, forget it! But I will say GNC is a big chain store pushing their wares they don't care who sells them or who buys them. I would research the kind of supplements you think you need before going into that or any other Vitamin shop.
  15. Hey girlie they are winning right now! (Watching the game with the husband) Yes, south bay, Los Gatos.
  16. Ok, yep, I'm a "feeler" When I lay down I like feeling where my undies rest on my hip bones.. Now I look like the perv....
  17. Hey don't be talking crap about big bones! I happen to suffer from that condition... It's from my German and Portuguese heritage. We are a very stout people
  18. It's best to ask your surgeon they all have different ideas on this. For instance my surgeon made me crush or pour (from the capsule) my medication into a spoon with jello or yogurt for the first month or so.
  19. If you stick with protein while traveling it shouldn't be to bad. Lunch and dinner just make it protein dense. Even for breakfast, I'd rather have a plain Greek yogurt, or an omelette? than cereal or protein bar... But for me those things are the devil I don't lose weight if I depend on them.
  20. Nope, brows are still intact
