  1. Hello- I need help!!! my lapband was placed 2 years ago and has slipped!!! I am private pay!!!! I am wanting to know if anyone has any suggestions on how to get funding or know of any teaching schools that would fix for little or no money! I know asking alot but it doesnt hurt to try. my Dr says to replace it will cost over $40,000! yikes!!!! HELP!!!
  2. I am a slow loser and was wondering how you did you know you were at your "sweet spot"? I am sure im not there yet but was wondering is it based on wt lose or amt eaten?
  3. Good for you! I am so happy its working so well for you! I think my problem is the fills! I have only had 3 fills in 7 months and the first on of course the initial fill. mY Dr waits so long in between fills I believe I have not reached my "Prime" fill yet. Keep up the good work. It gives me hope that one day mine will also work for me.
  4. WHEW! I am so glad (sorry) that I am no the only one having a SLLLOOOWWW weight loss. I guess the good news is I haven't gained any weight at all but to date have only lost 25lbs. I was banded 9/7/07. I was begining to become frustrated with some of the other sites and other bandsters losing 60-70lbs. Lets keep in touch and try to post our weekly weight loss (if any) and try to keep each other motivated. I was hoping to be alot smaller by this summer but looks like I better shoot for next!
  5. Hello- I live in SE iowa and was banded by Dr Eibes in Sept 07. I have lost 31 lbs. I need to go back and have another fill, as I am able to eat bread again without difficulty. I was hoping this process would have been a little faster than it has been.(I guess its what you make of it though) :redface:I really need to get out and exercise. :bored:Anyone banded last year?
  6. Sharon-i too was banded in sept of 07 and have only lost 31 lbs. (i guess i shouldnt say only 31 lbs.) but my question to you is how many fills have you had and how are you sure you have the right restriction? how many cc'c are you at? i know everyone loses differently. are you exercising and what type do you do? your doing a great job! keep up the great work!!!
  7. Hi Kathy- I was banded in sept and have only lost 26lbs! I feel your pain. wonder if I am lacking the proper restriction. I can still eat quite a bit of food. Not as much as before banding but still quite alot. Its almost becoming embarrassing for me. everyone knows i have had it done and im just not seeing the results i was psyched for. I am at 4 1/2 cc. hang in there it has to get better!
