well hopefully i will be sleeved December 20th or sooner - still waiting on Aetna for my final approval

Well after a 30 minute conversation with the Aetna, I found out the following… my paperwork was submitted on Nov 15th but Aetna started working on it on the 19th. Sooo, my 7-10 day turn around has been delayed by roughly 2/3 days due to the holidays and the fact its currently in a nurse work queue with lots of other people waiting for approve before the end of the year AND my doctor’s office gave them Dec 20th as the procedure date – how interesting; they haven’t said a word to me about a potential day

I'm so depressed, It's 10 days now and still no decision from the insurance. I have to get this done in December because my benefits change in January and I will have to start the process all over again :'(

still waiting on final approval... I have called every other day since my paperwork was submitted, and they keep telling me that it’s being still being processed – UHG! They should be tired of me calling…

I am mourning the loss of never taking a "Man vs. Food" challenge... Not that I would ever finish it in the first place, but once I'm sleeved it would be a total waste if food.

after a week of eating raw fruits and veggies i lost the proper weight and today my paper work will be submitted to Aetna for final approval....2 more weeks BUT im keeping my fingers crossed for a shorter turn around from Aetna

i moved 3 yrs ago and still have not gotten my address changed on my drivers licences. i have determined that i will go before my procedure, to change my address and take a new picture. this will be my token, a reminder of where i once was (and to show how long my dreadlocks have grown since my last picture ). so hopefully when i show my id, i will be treated like Massindex

Monday I go in for my final weight management session. I have not loss any weight in the past 3 months.... The p.a. & nutritiounist said before they submit my final paperwork to Aetna I have to meet the assigned goal. OMG YALL, I AM SO SCARED IT WON'T HAPPEN FOR ME ON MONDAY

I have a restaurant last meal list, cause I know after the procedure it will be a total waist to go because of the sheer volume of food they serve is insane

Greater Houston area, Missouri City to be exact. I haven't received my date yet but I am currently seeing Dr. Erik Wilson @ UT Physicians and I can't wait to get sleeved

Has anyone not reached the weight loss goal and still was approved for surgery? I am struggling with the low fat, high protein diet the nutritionist has me on. I have got a serious mental block - I keep thinking I can't wait to have my "last meal" before I start my pre-op diet. So this weight mgt diet is getting in the way....

Thanks for giving me hope! I go next month for my 4th & final weight mgt session that I was required to do for Aetna. I am so nervous about my insurance approval turn around time, once all the paperwork is submitted. I know I have meet my deductable & they will cover 90% of the hospital. I don't have a clue what the hospital will be and they won't tell me anything until the insurance has approved me. I am hoping and praying my approval process goes as smoothly and quickly as all of yours.... Once againg thanks for giving me hope
