  6. hi all, if you remember i posted about a week ago regarding me and eating regular food just 10 short days post-op. i am now 17 days post op. some people scared me to death. scared me straight actually. i did stop eating. they scared me about leaks. anyways long story short. i only ate regular food because of the recent blizzard i wasn't planning on making it a habit. so i spoke to the head dietician at the hospital and she said it was fine since i stopped and since i felt no pain at all in the stomach. my question today is, since i stopped regular food and since i don't have a fever and i don't have any pain, do you think i'm ok ?? do i still need to worry about leak(s)? anyone out there ever have a leak before? what are the signs and/or symptoms. i know of fever, stomach and arm pain, should i be in the look out for anything else ?? should i tell my surgeon?? the surgical coordinator and the head dietician said i didn't have to bother the surgical doctor. since then i've started stage 3 foods. soft cheeses, Soups, etc. still Water and shakes as well. again thanks for taking the time to read this and thanks to those who lend advice.
  7. my sleeve surgery was done on 01/29/13 so 16 days ago. i started this journey at 370. lost 25lbs before surgery. so when i walked into surgery i was 345. when i came home from the hospital i was 355 probably from all the iv fluids. today i weight 328. but i've been 328 for like the past 2-3 days. i'm not going down anymore. is this normal? did i plateau ?? should i be exercising more?? i've been trying to walk 30 minutes daily in the gym. way too cold outside. i did start my stage 3 diet on tuesday any tips/advice is much appreciated. thanks
  8. i will try my best not to worry but its really hard. the head dietician told me today that i have nothing to worry about because i feel no pain. and i have no fever. so hopefully i will be ok God willing. thanks for the support
  9. thanks flab! was that a true story ?? i met with the head dietician today. i told her i ate bread with cheese and bread with PBJ when i was only 10 days post op. she said that was fine. as long as i feel ok i'm good she said. thanks for the encouragement i needed it. no pain at all and i check my temp daily for a fever and knock on wood on fever and no pain yet
  10. wow what a mess. my post has caused an uproar. and yes by the way for those who care to know, yes i am still alive. i didn't DIE yet !!! imagine?? thank God. i've only been drinking. haven't touch food since the original post. few days ago now. no pains and no fevers as of yet thank God. i see my dietician on tuesday at 10 so i will inform her of my food errors. hopefully i am ok and have zero leaks, issues, or problems. as for this post/site. i don't think i will be sharing anymore. too many negative people and comments. a lot of mean people too. thankfully there was a nice few. i don't like when people scare me. i know they mean well but it could have been different. thanks for all the support.
  11. seriously. some people on here trying to scare the hell out of me and even sending me private messages lol. but you were awesome and kept it real.
  12. @laura-ven...i love you. thank you. youve been great. youre awesome thank you and again, i love you and thank you for your support

  14. i did but ran out . i was 6 weeks liquid pre op and simply drank all protein drinks
  15. thanks guys i appreciate it but now i am ruined mentally. i can't stop thinking about this. what if i ruined my new sleeve and caused a staple line leak ??? i searched symptoms. luckily i dont have any pains or cramps or fevers. i learned my lesson i just hope im ok and didnt cause any damage
  16. All I can say is that I hope and pray I don't have a leak or that I did any damage to my new sleeve. how could i be so dumb. some people on here have reassured me and also scared me that i could die. it's so scary. my own fault for not being prepared better. instead of stocking up again, i got so worried and prepared for this blizzard. long story short. i ate normal food. small portions but still. i hope i dont get sick or die. Luckily i have no pains or cramps. no aches and no fevers. but how do i know for certain if i caused a leak in my staple line. ?? my doctors office isnt even open until monday. i am so stupid.
  17. i will thank you. i am so stupid. i'd write "lol" but this is no laughing matter. i had NO IDEA eating at this time could cause a leak. No one told me. and nothing was stated in what i read.
  18. thanks laura. like i said it was only a couple of times. all small portions. i have no pains at all. no blood in stool or urine. i've already stopped.
  19. jesus lord mary and joseph!!! now what? am i gonna die? what if i did damage? how would i even know?????
  20. i know and i'm trying not to. i've probably had a handful of things over the past 2 days. no more though. i was just amazed that i could get it down and keep it down.
  21. ok so here's the deal. i am dealing with the Nemo Blizzard right now and i am buried. long story short. i find myself being able to eat normal things. baked chips, small portion of grilled cheese, whole wheat bread with PBJ on it. grilled chicken nuggets. now of course i am not eating big portions. all small portions. if i eat too fast i catch myself. when i don't i get bad chest pains/heartburn/gas etc. now this isnt my plan. i did not plan for this i just have nothing in the house. my wife is pregnant and we also have an 11 month old so time and planning is tough. i am still taking my vitamins and drinking water. but could anyone else eat out there like this? i mean 2-4 bites and i am full i just think it's amazing. don't worry i am not crazy. once the storm passes i am back to the grocery store for yogurt, protein drinks, and sugar free popsicles.
