  1. I was sleeved oct 23, four weeks ago today! First 10 days, I lost 14 pounds! Since then, I've only lost 2 more, and that was just in the last couple days! Hopefully the losing will pick up soon! This is more of a struggle than I expected!
  2. I am 3 weeks post op. I have a dent more on my right side, but still an obvious dent. My surgeon says this is completely normal. That spot has been the most tender, too. Still hurts when I get out of bed or off the couch. Dr says dent will decrease as I lose weight.
  3. I am 2 1/2 weeks out and still can't lift 10 lbs without getting pain on my right side. I can sit on the couch and pull a small child onto my lap no problem! I am loving my sleeve already!
  4. I was sleeved October 23, too! I'm struggling with cravings, and not feeling full! I'm eating too much! Can anybody help me? Have any advice?
  5. I started the process to have the surgery 3 yrs ago! I was struggling with quitting smoking, also! I finally quit smoking for good in may 2012, but it took me another 3 months to lose those last 5 pounds the surgeon required to schedule my surgery. I finally had my surgery Oct 23,2012 and all those sacrifices were definately worth it! I'm still struggling with food cravings, but your new body makes it impossible to give in to those!
  6. I just had surgery on oct 23 in Chico with dr. Erik Simchuk. They run a number of different support groups for their patients. Unfortunately only 1 is open to people that have their surgery elsewhere. It is the last Wednesday of each month from 6-8 pm. It is held at the Enloe hospital conference center across from the hospital at E fifth ave and the esplanade. They usually have a guest speaker, plus you can bring in your clothes that are now too big, and trade for smaller sizes that others have brought in!
  7. I was sleeved oct 23, too! I found I can drink a lot more than the 4 oz an hour recommended by my nut also! I hear liquids go through faster than solids will when we get to that stage. I wouldn't keep pushing it, though. Good luck to you on your journey!
  8. I was very nauseous for two days post op. I am 11 days out from having the sleeve and that feeling has been completely gone for many days! Hope you feel better soon!

  10. You all made me laugh, so thank you! I'm only 8 days out, so I didn't indulge. Thought about it, though!
  11. My surgery was Tuesday, oct 23. I had two days of nausea and still dealing with mild to moderate pain, but actually feeling good overall! Today I've been sneezing a lot, which is very painful! I'm using this abdominal binder I got at the hospital, and that is helping, too.

  17. My surgery is this Tuesday. I was planning on asking the surgeon for 3 weeks, but his office encouraged me to take 4.
  18. Hi! My surgery date is October 23. I live in Chico, Ca, an hour north of Sacramento. I'm very excited about the future after struggling with my weight since childhood!
