  1. Do your shopping for liquids and everything you need prior to the hospital. Take comfy clothes as you really will need to walk walk walk and sip sip sip. Even when you don't feel like it. My biggest problem was gas. And walking is all that helped. Believing that all will go well with you!! Keep me updated! Blessings!!! ~ Melody
  2. I am 5'4 and started at 238; sleeved May 15. I am Down to 185. No loose skin this far. I am walking and have not started extensive gym exercise yet as I wanted to wait until 2 months out. I have been ot of town and just got home. I visit the gym tomorrow.

  6. Surgery was May 15 - down over 50. Yesterday I had to attend a funeral while I am out of town. I brought a couple of dresses and a pants suit in case of dressy events (size 20). I tried on my clothes and they all fell off. I was shocked... Had to run to Belks and pick up a dress. Imagine my surprise when I bought a size 14 even though the sales person thought I should have gotten the 12. People at the Funeral constantly complimented everything. It was almost overwhelming the amount of attention that I received... New days - got to learn to Rock this sleeve & new body.... Blessings Y'all!
  7. Some doubt is normal. you should ask the questions. But I hope that you answer with positive responses. I am sending you both positive light and faith. I will stand in the gap and believe for both of you. I pray that this is the path for you both and that there will be no hindrances, no blocks, no obstacles and no problems that will keep you away from your destiny! Walk right into your destiny!!! Blessings! Melody

  11. I have said the same thing. Drinks are too sweet, which seems like sacrilege coming from me! I did not prefer water and had to be threatened to drink it. Now it seems that I crave it. I know my staple soups and other soft items totally taste different.
  12. Walk walk walk is the Real answer! It will get better each day! Congrats on your surgery!!!!

  16. That is good. Pray it goes well for you! I am getting my protein up now. I baked a small piece of salmon with herbs and lemon juice. It was good. Only able to eat a ounce and a half but I will eat the rest tonight. I found frozen greek yogurt pops today. I bought honey & Carmel flavor and it was good. I have also bought a bottle of odwalla liquid protein. I have been putting it in everything - drinks, smoothies & soups. Even pouring it in cooked things the way I would use milk. So it is really adding up. Hope some of this helps make your journey easier. Blessings! Melody
  17. Well it will be here before you know it! Did you have to do a liquid diet? I am in puréed and I am creative so it has not been difficult. Because I became gluten free a few years ago, I am used to being prepared with food and meals before I go anywhere. So same here - be prepared. Wishing well for you! Blessings ~ Melody
