  2. I know how u feel. I will be 65 this month. I have had bilateral knee replacements 1 year ago. I was sleeved 10/10/12 and only lost 45 lbs including preop. I can't go jogging . What I do is water aerobics 3 x a week and light weights daily. I can walk but not for long distances. I thought I would loose a lot more by now. The inches are comming off and clothes are getting bigger but I'm not getting the results I wanted I'm hungry, eat all my protein and water and then some!

  6. I was sleved Oct 10th and have the same weight loss and am doing what you are. However I am 65 and expect to loose slower- Im loosing inches and do water exercises 3x a week. I struggle with drinking all that water- I know its important. Did you know that instead of the fat flushing out of your body that it is being reabsorbed in your blood and organs if you dont drink all that water?
  7. I had severe esophageal spasms and regurgitation for years. Dx: achalasia. Finally surgery to open up the muscle between the esophagus and stomach. That was pre sleeve. I was sleeved on 10/10/12 and surgeon had to tweek my sleeve and make it bigger so the problem wouldn't reoccur. I have no problems now.
  8. I'm wondering if this surgery has lowered my resistance. I have had 2 colds since being sleeved. I haven't had a cold in years, had a flu shot and of the age where I have built an immunity to most viruses.
  9. Eat the whole egg! The yoke is where the nutrients are.
  10. I didn't have any problems with eating raw fruits and veges either . I am almost 2 months post op. the PA said do you want a leak? Looks like your asking for one.
  11. I hope so-- I dont mention this to my Dietitian because she yelled at me for eating raw veges at a party- I figured it was the lesser of all evils- Im 7 weeks post op (sleeved 10/10/12. She said ABSOLUTELY NO RAW VEGES OR FRUIT TILL 4 MONTHS OUT!!! Any way I buy high protein and low carb bars to eat as meal replacements while out and about- I figured it was better than skipping a meal. One is always in my purse!
  12. I was sleeved Oct 10th also and have lost 40 lbs total. Only 20 since surgery. 70 lbs is phenomenal what was your starting weight? Mine was the starting weight 272 lbs!
