  1. Congrats to you! Now go and have that delicious egg!
  2. Just enjoyed a really great bowl of tomato soup. I did have to reheat it a few times as I eat really slow... Practicing and scared of gulping it down, but I must say the flavors were delicious. First time I truly able to taste food, since I'd spent a lifetime of mindless eating.
  3. Jenn D, what type of shakes are you drinking? GNC has some delicious RTD ones.. It's called lean something
  4. I didn't really do a liquid diet... Maybe a couple of days at the beginning of the 2weeks. I drank 2 Proteins shakes and are whatever I pleased for dinner(could never finish my meal). So, I guess I cheated. My frame of thinking was I didn't want to try and cheat once I had surgery and not be able to control it like some ppl. I am a weak out after completing my Clear Liquids (no cheating and I stayed on it longer than what he'd recommended) and started my full liquids today. Am eating a delicious tomato Soup right now and it is delicious. My advice is don't deprive yourself because you may not be able to control yourself at some point. Make a tweak to your per-op diet... Customize it to fit you and still be healthy and low cal. But I am no doctor just a patient who had done it differently with no complications and following my post op.
  5. No problem... You have plenty of time to lose it.
  6. People have a fear of the unknown, which is a natural response. She also has a right to voice those concerns without having to feel inadequate. It may not be a war zone, but sometimes we only know what we see and what we see comes from the media... Does the cartels ring a bell???
  7. Girl, I didn't really even do a preop diet, just decreased my bad meals by having Protein drinks and whatever I chose that evening. Day of surgery, my surgeon did one less incision because my liver wasn't too fatty.
  8. You can do it... Go back to the basics! Drink Proteins shakes and Water with a lean and green meal and you can drop that in a week ( it will be water weight), but none the less. I am cheering for you!
  9. Ma'am you are doing wonderful!
  10. Well congrats to you and hopefully the sleeve will help you stay at your goal weight! I wish I could have done it without the sleeve, but I always gained it back... Darn southern food! Hopefully now I will be able to get to a healthy weight that I have never seen.
