  1. I dont know honey. It could be that you've become lactose intelorent. I had a bout of what you are going through for a few days about a week ago. Did you call your nut? or doc?
  2. I was a bit sore and groggy. I ate some jello and than I walked the halls and pretty much went home.
  3. I am not even sure now. I did my 4 mile walk today. My passage became clear and I could swallow. Now that I am resting I feel the gum or maybe mucous again. I have severe allergies as well. I dont know what it is but I am able to eat and drink. My doc said not to worry. She said if I can swallow a pill A piece of gum is fine. I don't know!
  4. Thanks terri I feel better about it now. I can still feel it in my throat but I suppose it will pass. The doc said to see how my eating goes today.
  5. I'll keep you updated. I'm sure I'm not the only one who has done this.
  6. God I know better! I have drank my coffee but I can still feel a lump in my throat. God I hope it goes down!
  7. It's been sitting in my throat for an hour now. Will it go down? Should I drink warm liquids! Lord what was I thinking about! I have chewed it before and this never happened.
  8. I am so glad you went through with it!
  9. J we started at about the same weight. I lost nine pounds in ten days on the pre-op diet. I have lost 15 as well post-surgery andI am very pleased with that. Look at it this way. You are 227 and I'm 225 now. If you consistently lose 15 pounds a month in the next five months you will be at goal or close to! If I lost 15 a month in the next six months or so I will be at goal. We have to realize we have been struggling our entire lives. I think I can hang a few more months or even a year or two to reach goal. You are doing great!
  10. Better yet what is your short term goal. Mine is 220. Long term 135. I'm 5ft2 and petite.
  11. Hey kao an kj! I think both of you are doing great! I haven't lost this much weight in a month since ephedra. Remember we haven't received a fill yet so we really haven't began our real weightloss journey yet. Ellipticals are great! When I was going to the gym that was my favorite machine. My real problem area is my hips! Yes I am a little afraid of the fill because I hate needles. What are you guys goal weight? Do you still have good restriction now?
  12. Thank you GR8. I really appreciate it.
  13. Hey kj! Try excercising! I'm on solid foods and eat alot of protein too. I dont care what time it is I walk my 3-4 miles. I get my headset and my favorite cd and I walk. Sometimes I even jog a little or dance a little to make it fun. I limit my snacking and salt, sugar. You have done a great job! Remember it's not a race. That's what I keep telling myself anyway. I want to be 220 pounds by october 4th which is my fill date. I hope he fiils me. I heard if you're losing they wont fill you. What's your goal weight kj?
  14. I told my family and they told the world! Never again! I told my friends. Not sure how quiet they will be.
  15. Thank you faith. I really want this to work. Fyi My exhusband noticed. He came over to see my daughter and he said hey you lost some weight. He was starring at me alot. I wanted to say hey eyes off! Ha!
  16. Grits are a no no for me. I tried it and it wasn't a go. STEP AWAY FROM THE FRENCH FRY!
  17. twenty four pounds down. Do you think this is good? I lost nine pre-op. So that's 15 since august 24th. Honestly I still have restriction but not as much but I am often afraid to eat sometimes. I hope I'm eating enough. I walk three miles 4-5 times a week also. The only habit I am trying to master is no eating and drinking. I'm fine until dinner with the eating and drinking rules. I often lay down too quickly too. I do so much during the day I just fall out most days. But when I eat lay down the food is still there hours later.(chicken) I love chicken and I really am trying to keep eating it but it takes forever to go down! Or if I drink anything close to bed time it feels like it's swimming in my chest. WEIRD!
  18. Faith I'd have to agree with you. My post-op diet was from week to week. I was wayyyyyyy to afraid to cause damage. Even with my diet being general(almost anything) I am still afraid to try pasta, bread, carbonated drinks, beef, hard vegetables.
