  1. Thanks kat, musicalmama, bandster! Venting helps and crying is even better at times. Actually I walk alot to relieve alot of tension as well. Actually seeing her do better has kept me afloat most days. She's losing some hair but her spirits are still up! This is a 2 and half year chemotherapy she has to undergo. She 11 now so at 13 she should be done. She was just diagnosed in june with all leukemia. It's one of the most kinds in children with an 90 percent cure rate. We are blessed that it was caugh so early. Life hasn't been easy but we have to stay strong! Kat I'm keeping you in my prayers as well. Cancer is awful and has no name on it. I have to get hold of my unguided grazing. It's not bad foods but just not complete meals because most times I'm on the go! I'm still losing even though I do this sometimes. I'll even grab a skim milk just to have something in my system. I think that sometimes I'm not even hungry it's just the fact that it's there and out of habit you have to taste it! Have you guys noticed that since you have been banded more people offer you more food than before? Ok maybe it's just me! Ha!
  2. I'm from chicago illinois!
  3. I've lost a midsize microwave!
  4. My aunt just asked me yesterday if after I made goal was I going to take the lapband out? I said no because I might run across the wrong lamb chop! What does she think this is an IUD?
  5. Thanks guys for the prayers and support. It has not been easy for my daughter. She is in remission and taking the chemo just fine. You know the cold could possibly be why I can't eat the meat. Today I have been on soft and liquids. This drainage is serious! I have asthma, allergies and major sinus! Thanks for the advice!
  6. That's right goodbye! Goodbye two hundreds soon to be!
  7. I guess not. Thanks anyway for the one response.
  8. Today is a crappy day. I can't eat much at all. My cottage cheese will not go down right. I'm hungry as hell! At least I'm almost in underland!
  9. I love chocolate candy ! Too bad I'm allergic to it
  10. Don't worry your fill will kick in soon enough. I almost forgot to ask as well. They told me 1.5 which seems low compared to everyone else. I do have restriction though.
  11. Oh no honey I was banded 8/24. My daughter has leukemia and she had chemotherapy this week. I'm sorry I should have clarified.
  12. Ok so during my pre-op nut visits they asked me this question. I said yes immediately! Meaning you don't plan your meals. You just grab whatever is available. Now that I am banded this is much more important! I came home from the hospital with my daughter. My mom and sister made tacos. So I grabbed some of the left over taco meat and tried to chew it. Well guess what it? It didn't go down. So there I am waiting impatiently for it to go down. It was not much at all but it took an hour to pass. I did take a sip of soda and that helped a little. I must have been nervous because I don't llike pop at all! I was so scared I would slim or pb as you guys say. I have never done either one. I was so hungry too! After it passed I sipped on some chicken and noodle broth. It made my throat a little soar. I have a a very bad cold as well.
  13. Northwestern hospital in chicago illinois by dr.alexander nagle. Very handsome and wonderful staff! I had the best experience!

  15. Congrats 2 you gurlie!
  16. I was told that I would probably lose some friends after surgery. I have not lost any so far. My aunt told me yesterday that if I get to 175 I'll look anorexic! Wtf? I'm 5ft2 with a petite frame. She has not seen me since the end of august. Its almost if she is dodging me. We were very close. I heard she said some nasty things about my surgery prior to me having it. Jealousy is a dangerous emotion! Do what's best for you. For me 135 pounds is where I want to be! Good luck 2 you!
  17. The three- six mile walk/run I do five to six days a week. My restriction is ok.
  18. Oh man I still have 15 to go! I cannot wait! I think I'm going to throw a party!
  19. Isn't it great for people to notice! Congrats!
  20. From my friend- I don't understand why people need a rubberband to stop them from eating. My cousins- So you are starving yourself? You are just doing this to get a boyfriend. From my aunt- I hope you don't look like star jones when you finish.
  21. PlEASE tell us what you did! Wow we had surgery around the same time and I only lost 32 pounds. Man that's great! What was your pre-op weight?
