Thanks calebsmommy and joyful noise. I am Ol w the dr. I am just nervous that when they resubmit it to the instance that it will cause a conflict and that it will be put off. I nervous the insurance company will use it as some way of not approving it. :-/

The doctor didn't seem concerned with it. My main concern is that te insurance company will now say ok why don't we try putting u on meds to try to regulate the thyroid and see if that will help. Lose weight before we jump to surgery :-/

Hello!! So I received clearance from the pulmonologist today! Yay me! Buuutttt.... I received a phone call from my the surgeons office saying that my "thyroid is borderline". Now I have never had thyroid issues and I am not really sure how it will affect the surgery process. I asked I it will affect the surgery and they said no "but I should follow up with my primary care doctor because they need to monitor it". Has this ever happened to anyone and has it held the surgery off? Please help!!!

Hello all! So I'm getting nervous. My info was submitted to the insurance company for approval and they can back and asked for pulmonologist and cardiologist clearance. Now I saw te cardiologist last week and they scheduled me or a stress test and an ultrasound of my heart for next week. The dr said I look like a good candidate but it is procedure. So I am ok w/ that. Just getting nervous. I have never seen a pulmonologist before I feel like this is one step closer and hopefully he will clear me and then I will just have to focus on the stress test w the cardiologist and once that is done the info will be submitted to the insurance company again and I will hopefully get an APPROVAL!!! Hopefully. :-)

Hi there. I know this is kind of sidetracking the convo and I'm sorry but can u tell me what the pulmonologist exam consisted of? And do they fax over the clearance that same day? I have my cardiologist appt for clearance tmrw and w/ pulmonologist on Mon. Thanks, appreciate it!!!!!

Don't worry!!! All will work in your favor!!! :-) As for clearance, my insurance needed clearance from a cardiologist and a pulmonologist and I also have to go for more bloodwork. I have never been to either type of dr. Do you know exactly what will be done during those appts? I'm just curious.... I go to cardiologist 11/01 and pulmonologist on 11/05. Still no surgery date yet though. :-(

You are right! I sure cannot wait! my primary insurance denied it which I knew they would. My doctor told me I would be off for about two weeks but I was going to ask for four. They say it depends on the work type. I have an office job so only two weeks :-( I would apprecite the four lol

Mine should be mid to end of November. Insurance company required clearance from cardiologist (appt is 11/01) and from pulmonologist (appt is 11/05) so as soon as the insurance has that I will be scheduled!! :-)
