  4. I confess that I never really quit smoking except for the 2 days I was in the hospital during my surgery. I told the doctor I was a former smoker at my first visit and never smoked before appointments.Somehow I got away with not getting tested? However, I have been smoke free for 7 days now. I confess that I took a bite of my sons cheeseburger from McDonalds. I confess that I enjoyed the way my painkillers made me feel after surgery and finished off what I had, long after the pain was gone. Haven't had any for the last few weeks, and not out looking for it. I confess that even though I have told my husband and sister different, I really really really wish they would get the surgery, I want them to feel as good as I do. I confess that I don't like this new zombie craze that is in the media lately. Zombies scare the crap out of me and I can't even watch a preview for a zombie movie!!! (way off the subject, I know, but had to say it!!)

  7. Ok, This is something I really struggled with post surgery, so I am gonna keep posting every time I try something new,lol I got some samples from Bj's bariatrics of the Syntrax Nectars. So far I have tried the Cappucino and the Double Stuffed Cookie and both are great!!
  8. I was on clear liquids for one week, then I was able to add protein shakes for another week before I went to purees. In regards to the original question, I ordered a sample pack of Syntrax Nectars from BJ's Bariatrics and just got them yesterday, I have tried the Cappucino and Double Stuffed Cookie and both are very yummy.

  12. The only powders I can stomach since surgery are, vanilla Body Fortress (Walmart) and the unflavored by Now Sports. I have tried several others that just make me sick. I also LOVE LOVE LOVE the PB2 added to my shakes! If you like the taste of Chocolate Silk Light, Just add a scoop of the unflavored and you are good to go!

  18. Quest bars are great. I have also tried the Metra Genix and Pure Protein brands and they are awful. Wish I could just make my own!
  19. You can buy powdered peanut butter online, called PB2. It has less caloriesand fat. I add it to my vanilla shakes, or I use an unflavored powder by Now Sports and add the PB2. You can also add the unflavored to any broth, puree or yogurt. When mixing it with hot liquids it may clump at first, but keep stirring and it will get mixed in.WARNING: DO NOT PUT LIQUID CONTAINING PROTEIN POWDER IN THE MICROWAVE, IT WILL BOIL OVER QUICKLY!! Also, I hear Unjury makes a good chicken soup, but I have never tried it.
  20. ok, i got my Isopure. YUCK!!!!! I thought maybe if I just diluted it I could drink it, but it made it worse. Also, tried making my own protein shot, using a scoop and 1/4 cup of water. It came back up faster than it went down.
  21. I have tried Chocolate Frost and Strawberry Smash by Twin Labs, and Cookies and Cream by Pure Protein. These were fine before surgery, but now I can't even stand the smell of them. I have tried the chocolate, mixed several diferent ways, and the taste of the powder, over powers everything else. Waiting for some Isopure I ordered. I ordered Alpine Punch and Mango Peach. We'll see how that turns out. Also, has anyone tried the PB2 yet. It's a powdered peanut butter that was featured on the Dr. Oz show. Only adds a small amount of protein, but is delicious. I have some unflavored powder by Now Sports. I mixed a scoop of the protein, 8 oz. of Chocolate Silk Light, and 2 tblsp. PB2., and it was delish!
  22. Hello ladies! I had Dr. Sudhakaran. My surgery was done September 24th, 2012. How are things going for you? Any complications?
