  1. I just got a call back from my insurance...they said it was a misprint on my employers end....sigh. Everything is going to be covered. That was so stressful! Now I am just grouchy due to only 3 hours of sleep (:
  2. 2 weeks from surgery and then it would not be covered by insurance as of Jan 2013
  3. I am FREAKING out!!! czlled insurance company and they couldn't tell me ANYTHING! only what my insurance currently covers. well thanks I already know what that is ! So I called WL clinic and told them what is going on and they said they probably would not do it then :'( due to the Dr does not feel right only giving me 2 weeks ..if anything happens I will be a self pay and they do not accept that(not that I have the money anyways). WTH
  4. cherry was pretty good at hiding the protein taste too(I hate cherry, but I did drink it)
  5. yes I liked the lemon tea the beat. See I am opposite..MORE water lol. I guess to each his own. I am glad I ordered the packets though to see which ones were best.
  6. have you tried any others? I am trying twisted cherry as soon as it thaws out
  7. I am going to call and find out what insurance says 1st on Monday. If they say no then I will call surgeon. I am on my last class and then it goes to insurance for review. But my work requires I that I give them 30 days notice. My appt is on Dec 10th. So I guess I will see what they say
  8. yes that is the paperwork I just went over and they are getting rid of it on all 4 plans they offer!
  9. Just found out my insurance is changing 2013. And now WLS will not be covered at all!!! And my surgery was going to happen Jan/Feb. I sure hope I can have this WLS still since I started earlier this year 2012. Keeping my fingers and toes crossed. I will call my case manager at the insurance company on Monday. #stressing
  10. I am pre op but you guys are cracking me up!
  11. yeah I think they all have that "funk" aka protein to them. Glad you found one that was OK. lol. i don't think I am gaga over any but....we have to learn to like at least one! let me know if you find another one you like I have not tried the kiwi strawberry nor the fuzzy navel. Those are next
  12. I am drinking it right now. It is pretty good I think. It tastes like pink grapefruit. I think it hides the protein taste pretty good!(I use 20 oz of water) and its slushing. I would buy it. Yeah I work 6p-6am so its always the night I started lol
  13. I believe it says on there 8-16oz? is what you can mix them with. I wish I liked milkshakes so I could eat the creamy ones with milk. For some reason with the milk it grosses me out and I love milk
  14. thats why its awesome to get the sample pack that way your not wasting your money on the tubs. I personally like them a little weaker. I mix them in about 20-24 oz of tap water. I then freeze them til slushy and drink them in a mixer container with the whisk ball. I def would do them in a blender but its much easier to freeze and do it that way so maybe try adding a little bit more water and doing then either with crushed ice, blender or frozen
  15. yes I tried that one too...YUCK! I have also tried crystal sky...ok not my fav carribean cooler(have had it in the tubs) and I like that one well enough. Tonight(I work nights, so its still Tues to me) I am.trying pink grapefruit. I will post after I try that one. So far I have liked the lemon tea the best. Let me know which ones you like
  16. oh boy I am sorry for the troubles with that I sure hope you can find something that will work for you. You might want to switch Ob-gyn if they are not willing to work with you..
  17. sorry...darn cell phone lol
  18. I am not sure about that I am sorry. I would assume you are still getting a small dose. It just depends on how your surgeon is. I can't have any nicotine in my system.

  20. my surgeon asked me if I smoked and I lied and said no. He decided to do a surprise nicotine test! So when I went back there in Sept he asked again. I said yes occasionally(LIE) and he told me sorry I can't help you for 3 months. So.....I am waiting for my 3 months to be up so he can test me again. I quit that day and its been almost 7 weeks. I had a craving just on Sunday and I got my mind busy and I totally forgot about it . You really need to find healthy options. Chew on a straw, gum, go for a walk or do a few sit ups? I agree with Liz, it was just easier to give up everything. For me it just prolongs it using E cigs and I would be more tempted to sneak. Wish you the best of luck in your journey
