  1. Oh yes, that's right. I forgot about the odor thing. If there is no foul odor, you're probably in good shape. Congrats on your new sleeve!
  2. From what I understand it is normal. I have fluid mixed with blood leaking which started around the 5th day post and it scared the beejeezes out of me. My coordinator assured it was normal and said it could last for up to a couple of weeks. She was right. It finally stopped and I am all healed up. It can be scary to see taht stuff coming out though, I know. Oh and the incision on me that did this was the main one where they pull the stomach out. I was really scared but it all turned out to be fine. Have you called you doctor or coordinator?
  3. How ya doing, honey? Piece of cake, right? Well, not quite but soon you wll be feeling great!
  4. Covering you in prayer!
  5. Looks like we are similar in our weight and loss. How tall are you?
  6. Welcome! I would have loved to have had my surgery at Emory. I live right around the corner from the hospital. My insurance didn't cover WLS so I had to hike it to Mexico. How are you doing?
  7. I told only one of my sisters. I may tell more of my family later on. Haven't really decided. Basically, it's my business and ill darn well tell who I want to tell... Or tell no one at all. Certainly doesn't make me a fraud or a coward. Do what is best for you.
  8. VSGBrandy, Just google his entire name along with the word "reviews". I think they were on the makemeheal site. Not trying to start rumors or anything and I know one can not believe everything they read online but it is pretty scary. When and where will you have your sleeve done?
  9. I read some reviews on another site where a few people wrote that they suspected he allowed his assistant doctor to perform their surgeries. They had no proof, however, one person claimed that he admitted that another doctor performed their surgery. Has anyone heard anything about this?
  10. Hi VSGBrandy, I have the exact smae questions. Did you ever get any info. If so, can you post or pm me? Thanks! Petra

  17. Awwww honey. So sorry you are so scared. Based on the time, I think you are probably post op. Please write when you feel up to it and let us know how you're doing. Petra
  18. Can't think of a better way to spend income tax refunds.
  19. When I got sleeved in November, a girl from the board was there also. Infact, she literally went into surgery right after me. It was exciting to finally meet her and be there for each other for support. We were constantly checking on each other. Felt like old friends by the time we left. She's got 5 kids so she doesn't have much time for the board right now but we call each other and text. It's neat to have formed this relationship with her and I'm so glad we went on the same day. Hope you two get to be there at the same time.
  20. Sure does sneak up on you, doesn't it. I know how excited you must be. You'll do great!
  21. Phew! God is good! So glad you are better.
  22. Very true. You don't want to have anyone else to worry about while you're there post surgery. You need only to concentrate on yourself.
  23. I think this is a great idea. Your hubby and kids cxan have a little fun in California while you have your surgery. Terrific planning.
  24. Hey There! I'm in Decatur too!!! :)
