1. Thats wonderful SUZI! Congrats, Keep your head up sister!
2. Def go to the seminar, you will get so much information and questions answered there, every dr and every insurance company wants different things from us. I went to a seminar, had a consult with my surgeon, and my insurance company wanted 6 months of medically supervised diet I started that in Feb finished that in Aug, they also wanted a psych eval done I did that in July. Everything was finished by my last dietitian appointment in Aug and sent in to the insurance company for approval! Took them about 2 wks to approve it and they did! if you have sleep apnea or need a sleep study the doc will make u get one. and maybe and upper gi too. At pre admission testing which I just had on Monday I had to have an ekg done blood work done and a breathing test done to make sure I was ok to go under. But def dont be afraid to ask questions everyone here is always willing to answer! Best of luck to you sweetie!
3. I like the idea of a surgery center for outpatient procedures, however I do not feel this is yet an outpateint procedure and should be done in a hosptial with at least a 1 or 2 night stay in the hospital so they can monitor you and make sure you are well enough to go home.

9. Are you talking about pre op testing/ pre admission testing?? if so, i went in did a breathing test to insure i can be put under ok, then i went and had an ekg dont and blood work and answered some questions with the nurses, meet with the PA for my surgeon and answered some of her questions, then I met with my dr who has been my pcp since feb also the dr who clears u for surgery. after that i sat through two classes one was what its going to be like the day i come to the hospital and the stay there, next class was a dietitian class on how ill be eating following surgery. lots of information!!! and they took my $ that I have to pay for surgery which was my out of pocket for insurance.

16. So I tried the unjury chocolate Splendora I think its called (they have two a chocolate and this one) yesterday with 8oz of 1% fat free milk and used the imulssion(sp?) Mixer/blender to mix it up and I have to say I was very surprised at how good it really was, it tastes just like a low fat chocolate milk and didnt have a bad smell or a weird taste or after taste either! Very happy with the chocolate!
