Thats really good I am not sleeved yet hoping to get approved for it this month or begin of Nov. But want to have surgery Dec. 21 my kids will be out for Christmas. And since this is my New Years resolution it will be all good. Good luck to both of you, and hope u dont get mr. Grump grump grump

Just got back went good I only need to meet with Nut whoo hoo so happy and i must lose 15lbs during my pre op

I go for my meet with my new doctor in the morning. I am very excited I cant spell. So i am taking with me a complete blood work up, my EKG reports, a letter from my obgyn stating how she had me on a diet with weekly way in's and not but least a letter from the head doctor stating I good for surgery. So with that what am missing so we can get this show on the road? They did say being what I have and this is it told me if all goes well insurance of course i could have done for sure Nov. Is humana gold choice hard to get approval?

I dont know but would think if ur doctor wrote a letter saying it was necessary i would think they should cover it. Good luck to both of you.

Thats great I hope its like that for me. I also hope my process goes pretty quick I cant wait. But I think mine will be Nov and thats fine as long as its before 2013 I have made up my mind I dont want this big eater in me coming with me in 2013 thats my new year to start being the real me but healther. I think ur doing good. In the story of the rabbit and the turtle wins the race. To say when I get my sleeve I want it to be slow and steady so my skin has time to go back also. I will have to loose about 160 lbs and I dont want loose skin. Keep up the good work dont be hard on ur self and dont stress or worry it to slows down weight loss.

So now I am scared I have had to 3 flare up's of pain all over my body but not my stomach. When this pain his i cant do anything not even hold my now 4 mth baby girl. My pcp is trying to rule things out cause she thinks it fibromyalga can't spell sorry. I sure hope not I had my blood taken I cant even count for this and for that and so nothing just that I might be pre diabetic. So my question is Can I syill grt sleeve if I have fibro? I have not told the sleeve doctors anything. I think need to know case and right now they don't need to know till I get my surgery date. Can someone answer the question for me please. Nice to meet u but for me its between 2 doctors. Dr Marquez @ southwest and dr ganta @ austin bariatics. I did not like dr langoria @ seaton bariatics he was too cocky for me.

Yes you and me and its so easy said but sometimes hard to do for me. I have wanted this and been looking into it for the last 4 years. I had to wait for my insurance then when I got it my fertile behind got pregnant. I was so happy but sad and mad because i wanted the sleeve so bad and now I was going to have to wait again. But my obgyn new i wanted it and said we as a team was going to get me ready for it so I could get it done. Thank God for good doctors who really care. My baby girl is 4 months old.

Hi I am new here too and have the same problems. My knees ,ankles and my back well I have fluid on my spine my L5. They want to operate but no way not in my back anywhere else but not there lol. I have humana gold choice and they do cover the sleeve. I have already meet a doctor and started the process. He said if all goes well I will be sleeved in less than 3 months. They r using my back and a letter from my obgyn since while pregnant she watch my weight. Had me coming in every 2 weeks then every week and keep a record of all my vitals like weight in a chart that I have a copy of. I was 292 before and after I was 299 and now my weight is going up its at 308 and I am 5'5. Good luck hope it goes good for you and me.

This is funny but here goes now i have not had mine yet but i was always big chested even in my smaller days some 20 years ago. I was a 36E and now a 42G I hope i get smaller up top after surgery they r heavy lol.

Hi I also have humana gold choice and am currently try to get approved. My bmi is 49 and I am 5'5 not including shoes lol. But really i just want to know how hard is it to get approved? I have no comorbity and I dont want any I want to just be healthy and take my life back. Now i do have more test to check for arthritis and I have fluid on my spine my L5 area. Will this help me?
