  1. I had surgery the same day. Today has been a little rough. I'm struggling to get all if my fluids in just because I cannot get rid of this gas bubble in my chest. I've walked and used gas-x strips. Oh well it will eventually go away I hope. My doctor told my husband that I would be more sore and down today, and he was right. Last night I did have the thought "what have I done to myself?!" But I know it was all worth it. I'm trying to take it day by day and not worry about the scale while I heal. I was very nauseous this morning and could only drink about half of my Unjury broth before I felt sick but I haven't been nauseous since then. Congrats, sleeve sister!!
  2. Luckily I can move around just fine. It's this stupid gas in my chest.
  3. Tanya..yes I have some gas x strips. I haven't used any today but I have been. I couldn't really tell a difference with them but maybe I'm crazy lol
  4. I had my surgery on 10/3 so I guess that makes me 2 days lost op. today is the worst. I'm having a hard time getting fluids in. I made me some Unjury broth that usually tastes pretty good, but it's making me nauseous this morning. I'm sipping on Powerade Zero. The liquid loratab made me throw up last night. I think I took it too fast plus it tasted horrible. I've been up and walked a little bit..to the mailbox and back. Every time I swallow I feel a bubbly feeling/pain in my chest. I guess it's still gas. I hope day 3 is better. I'm going to rest and then walk some more. I would love some tips on getting all the fluid in.
  5. I'm pretty nauseous this morning. I had my surgery on Wednesday. I'm trying to drink my Unjury broth but for some reason it's tasting horrible today. I'm not as swollen as I was, thankfully. Good luck to everybody!
  6. I was just converted from the band to sleeve yesterday. I did not like my band. It ended up causing problems. I'd go get a fill and couldn't eat..go get an infill and gain weight. I never found that "sweet spot". I do not regret my decision at all. I would definitely choose the sleeve over the band.
  7. My nausea and soreness are much worse today. I think I walked too much...20 minutes straight. I took a zofran and laid down
  8. Is it normal to feel like a there is a lump in your chest when you swallow? I just dry heaved for the first and hopefully last time. It only lasted maybe 5 minutes. But I did burp a lot.
  9. My mouth is so dry from this ear patch. Otherwise I'm good. Very little gas pain and just sore. I'm glad everyone is doing well!
  10. You know..I feel more sore (like I have worked out) than I feel pain. Fluids are going down well, but I've been sleeping so it's hard to get it all in.
  11. Hey guys! My surgery was at 8:00 this morning. I'm doing very well. I had some nausea when I woke up but they took care of that. I got up to walks bit ago and was still woozy so I did one short lap. The pain is not bad but I am using my morphine pump just to stay ahead of it I've only used 2 mg lol. I will check in again later!
  12. I go for my surgery tomorrow! I'm excited, anxious, nervous, scared and many more emotions!
  13. Wow...you have an incredible outlook on life that I love. Keep up the good work!
  14. Don't beat yourself up! I did cheat although I do regret it. I'm down about 13 pounds. My surgery is tomorrow, and I'm starting to get very nervous and anxious. I was not nervous like this for my Lapland. I'm very scared of complications.
  15. Luckily I will not have a catheter. But I'm not sure about the drain.
  16. I know to take comfy loose clothes. But did you change out of your gown and into your clothes when you got into your room? And ladies..did you put in a sports bra or any bra? I ask because I can't stand to go braless.
  17. I didn't even think about getting Powerade or Gatorade. I will definitely do that. I think I will be okay to go. I will just have to make sure I walk a lot and get my fluids in!
  18. I have surgery Wednesday October 3rd. The concert is Monday October 8th.
  19. My husband and I bought tickets to a concert before I scheduled my surgery. We are huge fans of Eric Church, and he is recording a live album in Chattanooga, TN which is about 30 minutes away. He's doing it at a historical theater, so there's not much room for standing and jumping around. Do you think I will feel like going or should I give up my ticket?
  20. My surgery is October 3rd. I wouldn't mind pureeing egg salad and chicken salad. When I started my pre-op diet it was 3 shakes and one low calorie meal, and I lost 8 pounds in 5 days. I was eating between 800-900 calories. Now that I'm on only 4 shakes a day (440 calories) my body is hanging on to my weight.
  21. I'm having my revision from band to sleeve with Dr. Chris Sanborn in Chattanooga, TN on Wednesday! I'm having trouble with my inner fat person who is yelling "don't take away the food!" But I know I'm doing the right thing, and I'm pushing her away. She's making me want chocolate today. Ugh! I'm so excited to have my revision!!
  22. I am also on MyFitnessPal. Just started a couple of days ago. Feel free to add me! ashleyfree88
  23. Good. I do love hard boiled eggs.
  24. Sounds like I might just stick with the full liquids and only add in boiled eggs, grits and potatoes. Pureeing meat doesn't sound good to me lol
