  1. I found bariatric advantage unflavored on Amazon but trying to figure out whar to put it in. Maybe soup? Baratric advantage chocolate is best so far. Try adding blueberries or cinnamon or peanut butter. Helps. I made pumpkin pie shakes the other day.
  2. You put salt on your finger and lick it because you need a salt fix!!! I swear I its a conspiracy to get you to hate sweets
  3. I never REALIZED there were so many food commercials until 3 days on full liquids!
  4. Im day 3 pre op. Not a happy camper at all!
  5. I am on my 3rd day of preop my stomach is so rumbling not even funny. Im also very grumpy. I cant have any solids only 4-5 shakes a day. I feel like a drug addict going through detox!!!!!
  6. Your pre op is a little easier. I can't have anything but shakes.....
  7. Me too! It was rough at first. I am just trying to find a shake I can live with for the next 5 weeks!
  8. We will be fine!!!! It's all good hang in there I am on the 14th so I get the willys too!
  9. Everyone I created the most delicious shake this morning.... Gotta test it if you like pumpkin pie! 3 teaspoons of canned pumpkin 1-2 teaspoons of pumpkin spice 1 drop vanilla ice one Premier Vanilla Shake Blend and enjoy!!!!
  10. I am right there with you. I started pre-op today, figured one more day won't hurt. Goal is to keep things in perspective, yes it might be delayed... end of the world No. Disappointing yes. I am afraid of the pain afterwards and I am afraid of leaks. I am reading a book, Feeling Good, it's great! There are ten things we have in our heads, one is the all or nothing mentality the other is the pessimistic outlook. If we hold onto the what if, then we can't get hurt. It's important to put things into perspective. If I get postponed because of high blood pressure, a cold, or something else, it's not in my control, there is nothing I can do to change it at that moment. So, my monolog in my head right now is if it is meant to be it will happen. If not, then, in the past 3 months I have learned so much more about myself then I would have thought I had in me. This was not the path, let's find a new one. But that's not going to happen and next year at this time baby....100 pounds will be GONE!!!
  11. I start my pre-op tomorrow!!! I still haven't picked the Protein drinks I want to LIVE on for the next 6 weeks. I have some samples to try, I did get all my Vitamins and have some of the Premier shakes as my backup to start. I think I am still in a state of shock that this is finally going to happen. I keep waiting for the other shoe to drop. I had colitis from some other antibiotics I was on, but since I am not doing bypass and Flagyl has pretty much cleared things up, I got the green light yesterday. Is anyone else scared???
  12. George what about asking your doctor at your pre op for some anxiety meds. I read that doctors will give a small prescription of ambien to help you sleep. May be worth a try.
  13. I believe laughter is the best medicine... Netflix, standup comedians, and a Pose pad! Sounds like a fun time for me.
  14. OMG If that is true that emotion hormones are stored in fat cells.... I better stock up on kleenex tooo. I am not scheduled until 11/14 and I am already dealing with the beginning of menopause. My poor poor husband
  15. I haven't had surgery yet (11/14) but I was told to be prepared for two weeks off. If I want to go back earlier, which a lot of my friends did, he has to clear me first. Hope it all works out.
  16. Pre op appointment is on Monday .... OMG this is actually going to happen!!! I kinda thought something would keep it from happening but we are a go. Start pre-op diet on 11/1. Doctor is sending me a bunch of recipes to keep it interesting. This is going to be interesting to say the least. Liquid protein only for 2 weeks, but I can have jello and sugar free ice pops. Goal 10 pounds by 11/13... Doable?
  17. I was told to stay away from caffeine because is screws up how your blood sugar levels. I don't know, I would just do what the doctor says. I have been mixing decaf and reg half and half. Just got to the point where I am off caffeine. If you drop it slowly plus take b12 it should help.
  18. That's my birthday TOOOO! Hey Scorpio!
  19. FINALLY!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I was getting scared but I got approval from insurance today!!! Woo Hoo. Surgery date was changed to 11/14! Very excited.
  20. I feel your pain.... my insurance didn't seem to have many requirements. My doctor's office submitted everything yesterday. i am hoping for a November 15th date. The clock is ticking SLOWLY!!!!!!
