  1. I was sleeved on 11/14 and feel the exact same way. I know some is head hunger because I desperately want to chew. I started chewing gum just to get over that. It's not just head hunger. My stomach is empty I can feel the air moving around and no restriction feeling at all. Keep trying different things. That's what I am going to do. I don't have post op visit Nut until next week when I also get puréed food. Hopefully this will help the hunger.
  2. Hang in there. It gets better. Day 8 for me. No pain but learning to use tool is interesting.
  3. Images added to a gallery album owned by ferraroma in Member Photo Gallery

  4. The first few days have been a great learning experience. I have learned that I can easily get my protein in if I use my new timer app on my phone. It reminds me to drink SOMETHING either protein or liquids every 15 minutes. For now. Yesterday got almost everything in! Secondly, I started light exercising, even cleaned my house. I felt great! Imagine feeling great about cleaning OMG! Finally, I started using a straw when drinking. Made a tremendous difference with the pain I was feeling when the liquids hit the top of my stomach (hiatal hernia in addition to the sleeve caused a little more swelling and need for healing then most). Oh and warm liquids are so much easier than cold!!!
  5. If your doctor said you have the stomach flu, he should also tell you what to eat or drink. Try broth and gatorade. Add your Protein if you can tolerate. I have colitis and I had surgery 4 days ago. My problem isn't it coming out the top end, just the bottom (sorry). I am going to try rice milk next as dairy makes the problem worse. I can mix bananas into the protein so that helps. As do the HUGE antiobiotic pills that i have to cut up into 8s to get down. Hang in there
  6. Lots of pillows LOL I am a side sleeper so everything is propped and tucked

  8. Tomorrow 9:00 AM OMG!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I can't believe it is finally here. This is going to be awesome. I will post after if I can.
  9. Ok so I have surgery scheduled for Wednesday. I have a stuffy nose. Say a prayer they dont cancel me. Just want to be done
  10. It will get better in the next couple of days. Food is going to smell 200xs better than it ever did. I smell food everywhere driving in my car. DRINK LOTS OF WATER. Water and crystal light peach mango are my savor when it gets really bad. I have lost 16 pounds in about two weeks. I get hungry and I can have another shake if I want to (per the doctor). Hang in there we are in the final stretch. I have 6 days to go, and this will get alot easier!!! I think pre-op is the hardest part....
  11. Congratulations. I am the 14th as well. Sleeve sisters!!!
  12. They make you drink this liquid that can be seen on the x-ray and they film while you are drinking to make sure nothing gets stuck.
