  1. @ newgrandmother.....way to go girl on losing the weight. I think the hair loss is either gonna happen or not but if we stick to eating our protein I think our bodies will replace the hair that is lost.
  2. Way to rock that sleeve newgrandmother!!! Sounds like you are doing a great job following doctors orders. Glad to hear you only have to take two vitamin/ supplements.
  3. @momof.....you should try the liquid diet. If one of your kids got sick, you would do that until they started feeling better. Treat your" tiny tim" like a baby tummy.....after all it is!!
  4. Yea for you! Your pic looks sexy! I was sleeved 9/18 and am down 49 lbs as of today.
  5. Sorry to hear so many of you have gotten a stomach virus....keep drinking your fluids.
  6. Good luck to you, hoping you have a speedy recovery!
  7. @newgrandmother......thanks for the cheer and vitamin info. My NUT and surgeon prescribe a whole batch of BA vitamins, and I try to take all the supplements they say .....but have problem with any type of multi vita I have tried. They all make me hurl within 5 min of taking. I am still looking for one I can tolerate.....any suggestions??
  8. Ten weeks post-op and down 45lbs !! Wish that I was exercising more but am having trouble still with keeping my energy level up. I gave lost 92lbs since my weight loss seminar June 4th. I am finally starting to believe this will work.
  9. LOL!!! @ momofthing....I too burp like a frat boy at a keg party! I even burp when I sip on water.
  10. @newgrandmother....hope you are feeling better.
  11. Happy Thanksgiving to everyone!!! I am thankful for all my sleeve sisters and the great way we all can share and support each other here.
  12. @ tjmom....I too am still HOT all the time!!! When signing the consent paperwork and the surgeon was going over all the risks and possible side effects....well I asked him if he could guarantee the being cold all the time? He said no but that most patients do suffer from cold intolerance after losing weight.....well I am down 88# and still HOT natured!!!
  13. @ newgrandmother....so how did the engagement party go?
  14. @ delta....I feel ya, but go ahead and let go of those "big" clothes....you will NEVER need them again.
  15. @ Velena....thank you. And grats on the loss!!
  16. @ newgrandmother.....I may not post very often but I follow all your posts and am here cheering all the sleeve sisters on!!!
  17. Down 33lbs in seven weeks since surgery! Total lost since June 4th (day of seminar) 82lbs. Finally starting to believe this will work. Taking some clothes by Goodwill today. Before I always kept every size, thinking I might gain the weight back....NOT NOW! Am shopping in back of my own closet for now, pulling out those smaller sizes. God is good!
  18. Sounds like several of us are having issues with the way food tastes. I know my taste buds are all out of whack.....everything tastes too sweet! Even plain water! I had my 6 week follow-up appt today and have lost 28lbs since surgery and 75 since June 4 when first met my surgeon. I asked the NUT today about all my food problems and she said I was doing fine and just take it slow and easy. Was told my sleeve might be really tight.....so I am gonna hang in there and keep trying my best. Probably I will have food envy when I read what others are eating. At least I am not feeling hungry all the time. September Sleeve Sisters rock!!!!
  19. Happy Halloween everyone!!! No candy at my house this year....don't even want to think about being tempted. @ newgrandmother.....Hi back at ya.
  20. I see my whole team Thursday....surgeon, NUT, and the exercise physiologist.....my program requires you see each every 3 months for 2 years. I am most interested in seeing NUT as feel like her recommendations are too vague, plus not able to take the BA vitamins without puking. This site is so great for information and support...thank you all for being there.
  21. To all those having trouble with food....count me in. I am able to only eat 2-3 bites of anything and am sick of soft gushy foods. I am 6 weeks out tomorrow and down 25 lbs since surgery. I am so hungry most days but can't tolerate a lot of foods that are recommended. I am praying this surgery was the right choice for me. I know I would feel better if able to eat more protein.
  22. @ momof3....great you were able to survive your shift. I know how you run all day at work, as a former ICU nurse. I was always glad on my shifts to just get a chance to pee!
  23. I was sleeved on 9/18 by Dr B. Live south of the city. Glad to hear so many peeps from Ok are changing things in their lives for the better.
  24. Also like your pic newgrandmother....you are looking happy.
