  4. I'm scheduled for August 26th with Dr. Joyce at Silver Cross Hospital in New Lenox/Joliet. I could not be more excited! I wish it was sooner but my schedule just won't allow it. Hoping time goes quickly!
  5. I'm August 26!!! It's been a long journey to get my date, I started back in October. Can't wait!!!
  6. Hi, I'm scheduled for August 26th! I started my journey back in October with 6mos of doctor supervised weightloss and weigh-ins. My highest weight was 291 and I'm currently at about 275. Im 26 and 5'5". Sooooo relieved to get my approval because insurance was making me jump through a ton of hoops and I just didn't think I was going to get approved. My surgeon was ready to do the surgery as early as next week but I just started a new job 3wks ago and my vacation time doesn't kick in until August, hence the delay. I'm only getting about 10 days off work so I'm hoping for a speedy and complication free recovery!! Good luck to all of us on this exciting new journey!
  7. My date is August 26th! It's been a long journey that started back in October 2012. I had to do 6mos of supervised weightloss and weigh-ins. Wish I could do the surgery sooner but I just got a new job and my vacation doesn't kick in until August.. Can't wait! I'm nervous, anxious, excited, slightly terrified, looking forward to the future! Mess of emotions here! Anybody else scheduled for the sleeve in August?
  8. The consult went well and I got clearance from the cardiologist! Now for my seminar tonight and today will have been a great day!
  9. Thank you!! I appreciate the kind words!
  10. Today is the start of my journey towards getting sleeved! I have my initial consult with my surgeon, the cardiologist appointment, and the seminar today! I'm really excited to get the ball rolling but I'm really nervous too, I'm just afraid something's going to happen and they will tell me I can't get the surgery. I hope everything goes smoothly and quickly. Maybe have the surgery in January?
  11. Yay! Good luck! I have a busy Wednesday next week. I have my first consult at 1:45, cardiologist apt at 3, and the pre-op newbie seminar at 5:45, all on Wednesday. Nervous & Excited!!
  12. I dont have a surgery date yet either but I should be finishing up my pre-op requirements by early January so I'm hoping to get sleeved by the end of January. Let's hope things go as planned!!
  13. Hi, Im Tara, a 25yr old married mom of two boys (6&3). I have just scheduled my seminar, consult and cardiologist appointments for Wed. I am really excited and nervous. Any clue as to what I can expect on these visits? I am 5'5" and weigh about 275 so my BMI is around 46ish. I already have a pre-approval from my insurance (bcbs of mn) but I am terrified of something going wrong and the surgeon saying I shouldn't have the sleeve done. I don't have any serious comorbidities other than possible sleep apnea, body aches, depression and borderline cholesterol and borderline diabetes. I just am so tired of being the way I am and have tried so many times to get healthy on my own but have little success. I'm so anxious and worried and excited all at the same time! Any words of wisdom or general tips on how to remain sane during the pre-op process?! Oh and I'm going through Dr. Joyce at BMI Surgery (Silvercross Hospital) in New Lenox, IL. Anybody else?? Thanks everyone! I'm looking forward to being a furure Loser!!
