  15. I had my sleeve surgery on 9/13, and was able to start full liquids yesterday. I've noticed that anytime I have something with milk, I get severe gas pains. The only time it hasn't happened is with cream of wheat and clear liquids. However, protein shakes made with milk, creamed soups, sugar free pudding give me gas pains almost instantly. Thoughts? Experiences?
  16. I take mine for heavy/long periods. I took my pill this morning for first time since surgery, which was this past Thursday, and I didn't have any issue.
  17. I took my pill up until morning of surgery (9/13/12). My surgeon said I could resume following day, which was yesterday. I haven't tried yet, but plan to start my new pack tomorrow. He said I shouldn't have any problems because they're so small. I did contact my obgyn, and she said there's a birth control patch or chewable pills, in the event i have an issue. Good luck!
  18. My biggest pain seems to be gas pain. Just tried a gas x strip. Hoping for some relief. Supposed to start full liquids tomorrow, but may hold off until Monday. Just managed to eat a sugar free jello cup. Took a while, but that's ok! Good luck to you as well.
  19. Thanks. I see him Wednesday so I will ask then. My packet doesn't say anything
  20. Should I start on my chewable multivitamins and chewable calcium right away once I get home?
  21. Thanks everyone. Every time I sip water or my protein drink I burp. That's helped a bit as well as walking. I guess I just have to be patient. I may try gas x strips.
  22. I everyone. I had my sleeve done yesterday, and am home today. Of course I knew there would be abdominal soreness but I feel that what I'm experiencing is more gas pains than anything. I've been walking in hopes of trying to get relief, but so far have not. Any suggestions?
  23. I had to document history of weight loss attempts, meet with dietician twice, see PCP and have him fill out form letter supporting surgery, attend 1 support group run by dr's office, have psych eval, get blood work, upper GI, EKG and chest X-ray. Once all that was complete, I met with doc again to review chart, and get surgery date. Then, they submitted to insurance company for approval. They rendered a decision within 1 week approving surgery. I had pre-admission testing on 8/30/12, surgery at 830am tomorrow. Good luck on your journey.
  24. My first appt was July 18th for consult, and I'm having surgery tomorrow. It was less than 2 months. I have horizon blue cross blue shield-nj direct
