Good luck! I live in ocean but sleeved in Atlantic.

I love anything buffalo flavored. Since buffalo wings aren't exactly the healthiest, especially once you've had WLS, I searched for healthy recipes where I could still satisfy my love of buffalo sauce. I got fresh cauliflower and cut it into florets and tossed it in a small amount of extra virgin olive oil and a little bit of salt and pepper. I spread the florets evenly on a baking sheet and baked for 25-30 minutes on 400°. After I removed them from the oven I tossed in buffalo sauce and they were ready to go! Very delish. Obviously not high in Protein but it's low cal and a healthier alternative to wings. Can be served with ranch/blue cheese but I opted against it.

I went through APG bariatrics in Egg Harbor Township. My Consultation was July 18, 2012, my surgery date was September 13, 2012. I did ally pre-op testing and got approved quickly

A friend of mine has her surgery at Barix. I had a consult there years ago but wasn't "ready" for the life change at that time. Best of luck. If everyone meets up, let me know!!!!

I used the gas x strips as well and they worked wonders

Have any of you all gone on a blind date, or a date with someone who you met online post surgery? How did you handle it? I have always been very shy and timid, and I may be meeting somebody this weekend who I online who had seen picture of me post op and I am very apprehensive. Any advice?

I am 17 months post op. I've lost 102lbs. Key is making sure you get your daily protein intake. It's not as easy in the very beginning but you'll get there. My biggest issue has been seeing myself as thin. It's a mental thing for sure. For my entire life I hid behind my weight and now I don't have that to hide behind. It's been a process but I wouldn't change my decision to be sleeved as it has been the best decision I've ever made!
