  3. That would be oxygen, not axe gym!
  4. Smoking before and after surgery just slows recovery. The more axe gym your body can get to your incisions the faster and more thoroughly you will heal. If you really want to quit smoking I recommend chantix. Works great. Work through the small amount of nausea in the am and it works really well.

  6. Well, I have to say this wasn't the post op conversation I was looking for, or expected but I suppose it's interesting. My Doc told me I had to quit smoking before surgery, so I did. Boom. Done. Mind over matter. I want to be healthy more than I want to smoke. Plus, it saves me about $275.00 a month, which is about $3,300.00 a year. I'll take it!

  8. No one has written in this room in a long time and I am PRAYING that the NJ sleevers are still out there! There are new members here that need your support! Don't abandon the cause!!!!
  9. This is my second post and I have to say that I have been reading the conversation as it goes and you all are so inspiring and positive! My date is August 8th and I am scared out of my mind. Am I doing the right thing? I know everyone feels this way at some time or another, and right now I am just trying to figure out what it is that I'm most scared of. I do need a buddy to go through this with and I would love to find a support group near my home but I just can;t seem to find one. Is anyone from the Jersey shore area?
  10. Is it really that big of a shock? I haven't had mine done yet but I can't imagine not being hungry. It is just foreign to me. I'm afraid is what I am. Afraid that I will screw this up somehow like I've done with everything else I've tried to lose weight.
